Similar situation here. My closest H store would be the one in Washington DC, which is a 5.5 hours drive for me. I go to Europe 3-4 times a year so I just get the stuff I like from a couple of EU stores and I wonder if they will be able to find my purchase history.
Europe can see your purchases made anywhere in Europe (maybe duty free airport exception). But US has a different database. So US cannot see you purchased in Europe and European stores cannot see your purchases from US. I think I saw a post here that someone comfirmed it because he bought a quota bag in the US and then 2 quota bags in Europe

Thanks for the insights and thanks @coffee2go for sharing your success story! Congrats on adding B35 to your collection. What a beauty!

Based on my personal experience, my wish expiration date didn’t reset when I changed the specifications of my wish (size, colors, and type). I updated my wish at least 3 times, and the expiration date stayed the same.
That’s interesting… I am in the UK and my SA informed me my wish list creation date (and subsequently expiration) would reset if I changed my wish

We do not have wishlists in Paris. It works the normal way, similar to the U.S., where your SA knows what you like and what you might specifically be looking for, and will call you when it comes in. (There are other complications around the stores being crowded and all SAs having to deal with the demand from tourists, but that's not germane to this thread.)

FWIW, I have an SA in Nice I work with occasionally, and she works like Paris SAs, not on wishlist but just finding you what you want when possible. I don't really ask for bags because that seems silly when I have a home store a few hours away, but occasionally there is an offer. So not everyone in Nice works on wishlist.

Hello fellow TPFers! I was in Strasbourg, France today for a business meeting. I had some free time before heading back to the train station so I went to visit the boutique there. I met a nice SA and bought a FJ ring. Then I asked about bags and he told me that they implemented the wishlist system. I do not know when it started though.
I won't be surprised if this is how European stores manage things going forward. 👌🏼

Are you prohibited from being on the wishlist in multiple countries at the same time? Notwithstanding the limits on QB per person per year, obviously you'd run into issues getting too many.

Spending and purchases can be seen across all of Europe, right? Does that include the UK?

From what I understand, the accounts can be traced by continents. European stores can see all your purchases from other countries in Europe. Continental US can see purchases from Hawaï to Canada … hermès has our data from everywhere but doesn’t freely share it in between continents.

As a Canadian shopper my sa here cannot see my US profile. They can only see online shopping in Canada. Same when I shop in the us they can’t see my Canadian profile.

A few thoughts on the subject of what information is visible to which employees where — surely there are non-celebrity customers who are so VIP that they are known worldwide as such; it would be surprising if senior managers were unaware of who their very best customers are, and as we know, there are no rules in these situations.

As for the rest of us, given the amount of chatter on this subject I wonder if Hermes has undertaken a revamp of their entire IT department (finally established an IT department?) and, in typical Hermes fashion, is rolling it out in fits and starts. The new iPad system for viewing upcoming season scarves, and the new iPad system now used in the SO process for bags suggest that Hermes has decided that the luxury experience can include the use of modern technology— meet the customer where they are. However, given the, um, less than optimal functioning of the website, I’m not at all surprised that there are conflicting reports on what information is available to whom, and where. I also suspect there are continuing internal discussions on what to do with the information once collected. No breath holding here…

I was in Switzerland a few months ago for work and I stopped into Hermes. The SA could not see my profile from other European stores so it seems that it’s not based on continent but perhaps the EU shares a system and other countries in Europe are separate.

Both my US and Canada online shopping history were visible under my profile.
I think the online shows up bc of your mailing address but bc I multiple profiles in Canada the corporate back office actually had to merge them and got rid of a lot of them. The us in store profile is not visible to my sa here!

My SAs in NY (local store) and FSH (relatively minimal spend outside of QB offers) have told me that the profiles are not shared for the purposes of QBs etc.

When I was in St Barths, the only profile that store found was FSH, which listed itself as my home store, IDKW
