Glazing melting again? Anyone?

I just reorganized my bags. To my horror, I realized three of my bags, their glazing started to melt again. These are Metis Hobo, Kleber Pm and Twinset. Their sides, their straps, their handles started to melt. These three bags ranging from the year 2016 to 2018 of their manufacturing year.

This isn't my first encounter towards this issue. In fact, Metis Hobo and Twinset, it happened before and LV generously exchanged a new one for me which I was happy. But now it's happening again.

Anyone here encountered this issue again? Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear this....what a horror to find in your closet! Pls. update as to if you are able to get some sort of credit or replacement. Good Luck !!

This happened to my Capucines MM (2013 or 2014), I returned the first one, got another one about a year later, it melted again,I’ve returned it for good. Same things happened to my W Tote’s , Speedy Empreinte, Twist MM EPI Denim 2 times, the second piece was made in either 2016 or 2017 ,LE Speedy Race, Alma malletage, even Mahina L and many others .... I could called myself ‘Champion of melted glazing ‘ :lol::lol::lol:
I’m in Malaysia, hot and humid weather. But I first noticed my Speedy Empreinte melted very badly while I was in Dubai, so I guessed hot temperature affects the glazing the most.
For all my bags that melted, I either returned or sent for repair . There are some that still melt slightly after the repair but I still keep them because I love those design very much. But I can always return them whenever I feel like .

Oh my Gosh that's awful! My speedy Emp went sticky in 2016 was made in 2014, they sent away to reglaze and I haven't had it happen again. I do use Damp rid containers in my cupboards as it gets humid in Australia, I don't think putting the little packets inside your bags will help anywhere but the inside. By 2 months the container is full of water! So I'm glad I use them, it shows how much moisture is in the air in summer. You will have to take into LV and see what they say, whether to credit or repair. Good luck!

Yes, will update once i sort it out. But previously i had few bags the same issues, glazing melted. Lv repaired it foc and some i even got a store credit. Hopefully this time things will turn out the same.

Oh god, i am facing the same situation with you. I am staying in Malaysia too. Arghhh, i barely can recall how many times i have encountered with this glazing issues since year of 2016 i guess. I thought i sorted it all out by the year of 2018. But now is 2020, and this is happening again. Quite frustrating. I am unsure i need to put the blame on our weather or not :(

Wow, thanks for the idea. I guess i have to get those damp rid containers. But i always think, our weather in here wont affect that glazing. I remember my SA told me before, its due with the new formula of their glazing, nothing to do with the weather. But now you see, it has been year of 2016 till now and its quite bothering me..haha! The first bag i realized it melted was Luminuese Pm Empreinte which i bought in Paris in the year of 2011 and it melted in the year of 2015/2016.
