I've been using my Balenciaga City for years now and I'm intending to get another bag which is non-structured and that I can use from day to night.

Am deciding between the Givenchy Nightingale (Goatskin, Small / Med) and Chloe Paraty (Small / Med).
Comments please? :woot:

Anyone knows the weight difference? I would prefer something that's light as I sometimes find Bal City a tad heavy too.

Nightingale. I am a Bal collector and also own Nightingale and used to own Paraty.

If you are a Bal lover, you will love Nightingale because it is similarly slouchy. It is a stunning bag IMO.

Regarding Paraty, some people complain about the small opening but what bothers me is the strap that is hanging awkwardly when the bag is hand carried. Plus the chain links get stuck quite often.

If you're a Bal lover then the Nightingale is probably more "your bag" so to speak :D The Paraty's leather is gorgeous and it's actually pretty lightweight but it's very structured and that sort of limits it's carrying comfort. The Nightingale is a slouchy, comfortable bag like a Bal. You'd probably like it!

I´m a Paraty gal all the way, but it´s true the handles can fall awkwardly, and I find the bag is heavy even when empty.

(But I forgive her everything because she smells divine, her lines are so lovely, the colour is TDF, she fits all my stuff, and I can wear her by the short straps in the crook of the elbow and even on the shoulder, plus the shoulder strap makes it so versatile (shoulder + crossbody).

Sorry - I know I´m no help! But if I could buy another one, it´d be another Paraty again.

I have a medium Paraty and have the Nightingale on my wishlist. I love my Paraty for its unique shape and gorgeous leather but it is heavy and not slouchy like a Balenciaga at all. Maybe get both? Hahaha

Another Bal lover here (17 moto bags) that just pre-ordered a Nightingale medium in waxy calfskin.
I've been wanting one for a while, but when I saw this one, couldn't resist any longer.
