I agree with the rest, go red. Gray is neutral, but do you want to go that neutral? I think that red bag caught your eye for a reason......not that I'm enabling.

I just received the red today and moved into it immediately as my work tote. I bought it because it would go with virtually all of my fall office bags (black, navy, fog). It doesn't look great with Surplus, but I have a black Le Pliage tote that I'll use with that.

I think red is a neutral, but it's always been my favourite colour. It won't go with absolutely everything (pink, kelly green, etc.) but it goes with enough that I consider it to be a staple.

The Edie is a different style entirely. Have you handled one? It is divided in the middle by the low zipper part in middle. If you don't carry lots of large items (using bag more like a tote on some days) this is cute and fun. I advise you to go to the store and put your things in both if they will let you. At the very least try both on.

Congrats on Cherry Tote.. I am a huge Red fan!! (Blue Red).
I like the Burgundy Edie too. I say keep Tote ..easier to get into.. and easier to carry on the shoulder.

Red is so beautiful, I'd definitely do red as well. I like vibrant colors. I want to get a new Coach tote someday but my outlet one that I bought years ago in canvas is still holding up beautifully.
