lol, weird question but is it possible to get decent bread in NZ?

I used to live in the US for some time and it was a real pain if you are used to our German bread :p

Kittie LaRoche, it is possible - I live in Auckland, and because it's (relative to the rest of NZ!) a fairly large city, there are a few German bakers around - for me, if I want 'decent' bread, it takes about 1/2 hour to get to somewhere that sells it. When I don't have the time to do that, I am stuck with the NZ supermarket variety :crybaby:

I never wear watches! My wrists are reserved for cute bangle bracelets lol. My SO has a Rolex though, its so nice, I always tell him "If I had a Rolex, I would wear a watch!";)

QueenOfDa702: I had a vintage Rolex for a little while, until we started downsizing our watch collection (still wish we hadn't started on that one) and loved it - I mean.. Rolex at the end of the day is still Rolex...!
Sternchen: good German bread is worth every Penny IMHO!! I lived in Holland for quite a while in my teens, and whenever I find Dutch products, I drool and pay WAY too much just to have them in my pantry (same for German products in fact, there's just so much incredibly delicious stuff!!!)
Mmmmm.... my partner just told me to post a picture of our Omega Proplof on my wrist - a rarity and worth a pretty penny, but not sure whether it'd illicit the same response as it would from all his watch nuts!! :confused1:

I never wear a watch but lately I have been thinking about it. It is true that with a cell phone I don't feel the need for a watch but I don't always feel like digging through my purse to find it.

What does everyone suggest for someone who is new to wearing watches!!! Kind of a entry level watch if there is such a thing.

Before I head off to bed well and truly (!!) - consider second hand mint TAG Heuer watches - they have some incredibly nice models around, and second hand you can get a very good deal - we sell quite a few of them here on TradeMe (NZ equivalent of eBay). The beauty with TAG: you get a great watch without spending the money you would on say a Rolex or Omega - BUT you do get all the mechanics, looks, performance etc. you would expect with a more expensive brand. As a 'starter' model: totally recommended.

Ah Truegem - SO has gone to bed, but did say before he headed off that I should mention that if you decide to look at second-hand you should make sure you're going through a reputable seller - we always make sure that whatever we sell is represented accurately and that our pics show the piece as it is - hence our perfect feedback - the last thing you want (or anyone really!) is buying something that ends up on your doorstep looking completely different from what you thought you were going to buy! In terms of watches - if you ever want any feedback regarding what you're looking at, please ask! Right - off to bed now!
