Gifts for Bridesmaids?

I'm making my bridesmaids (2) a little basket to be presented to them on the day of our rehearsal dinner (2 days before the wedding). So far there are only 2 items in there - but they're things I've thought about throughout our engagement (engaged as of October, 07)

First and most importantly, a floating pearl necklace to be worn with their dresses on the day of our wedding:

And then this book Diary of a Mad Bride, which I bought when we were first engaged because it's subtitled: "for anyone who has ever been a bride, is about to become a bride, yearned to be a bride, or suffered the sheer indignity of appearing in public in the world’s ugliest bridesmaid dress...." They're both married and have been bridesmaids - and after reading the book, I knew I'd have to give it to them. Very cute, relateable chick-lit:

If you'd like to do bracelets, pearls are a great choice.... I have this bracelet and love it. The pearls are small, so it's perfect for everyday wear but can go dressier too. The luster on the pearls is just amazing.

Helen F. necklaces would be great because they are customizeable, or what about starting charm bracelets for each bridesmaid? You could put one or two charms on the bracelet representing the wedding and your friendship, and they could fill the rest with charms they liked?
