Small wristlets are always good. You can throw your phone or iPod cords in there... money... cards... whatever. That'll be a nice gift and they'll find something to use them for lol.
That's what I needed to hear. Thanks!

I totes get the personal aspect.I appreciate your response and had the same concerns, that's why I posted the question - I want to hear your opinion! I am very picky, but thought maybe something like a wristlet could be used for several things whether you carry a big purse or a small one. If I go this route, I would definitely include a gift receipt so they could exchange it. I know money is usually more appreciated, I just wanted to give them something personal plus money.
Another vote for a wristlet, for all the reasons already mentioned. They're probably one of the most versatile items around, and with the gift receipt it can always be exchanged if it's just not "the one".![]()

If I had to choose an alternative to money, I'd say definitely go with wristlets... if it's function you're after. The cosmetic cases in the lower price range are so small they're not even practical. I recommend the metallic caviar, it has a gorgeous uniform luster. The double zip coin case in metallic caviar would be my first choice. According to their online measurements, they're big enough for cards or cash, and they're very sleek.

+1 for Wristlet too. I think it's so sweet of you to mix both the personal and practical in a gift, I would definitely be more thrilled to receive this than a gift card, because of the thought put into it. Will you buy four colors/designs and let them pick what they like?

Exactly my thoughts!
Agree with all the wristlets votes. Throughout daughter's elementary school years, I was always giving wristlets to her teachers for Christmas and end of year gifts. Small size, large size, single zip, double zip, even some that were half-wristlet-half-wallet. I never once got anything but positive results, and even saw some of them being used as the years went by. They're the perfect catch-all.
Big fan of wristlets here. They're great for carrying just the essentials, or in my case I organize my stuff in my purse into a few different ones.
wristlet by far, its extremely practical.
I lIke the wristlet idea, I love that you're personalizing the gifts! I'm not far off the age range you're buying for, and I think a wristlet is very practical!
Completely agree on the wristlets they are massively useful for all sorts of things and Coach has a enough variety where you could get neutral ones. I own wristlets as does my mother and both my daughters, i see them all the time when out on all age ranges too.
