lol. Let's reel it back from 3 years to next fall 2017. I am sure this teal color is a Pantone color for this year which is why we see it everywhere this fall. I love it and actually ordered a custom velvet sofa from West Elm for $1000 in lagoon teal.

But we all know designer bags are inflated in value and buy for the love of bags! I think my point of view is for $1600, it is something I will still like in a few years like a Dionysus monogram or leather bag, monogram LV Speedy, classic flap Chanel and worth spending the money for velvet and the color? I have a blush Rebecca Minkoff love bag that I know I will like in the future and would invest in a designer bag in that color for sure.

I have the $ but of course want to spend it on something that brings me long term joy. Should I spend the money on a lower priced item in teal velvet if that is even possible to find? Still love this bag just the brain kicks into gear sometimes !

Wow. I salute you for having the courage to order a velvet sofa! While it undoubtedly will look smashing in whatever room you place it in, velvet is problematic because of its beautiful and sensitive nature. Any weight, touching, etc, tends to flatten the fabric/weave.

If you don't mind my honesty, I regard velvet as a luxury fabric/item. I wouldn't buy it in the form of a bag but maybe a coat/dress/jacket for evening-wear where it wouldn't get heavy use.

This is a picture I took in store of the two bags I was deciding between, either the GG Marmont camera bag or the velvet mini—I went with the velvet
