Hoping the postman comes tomorrow for me - can't wait to have a fur collar playtime:yahoo:

After a dip in our temperatures today, I got my brown fox collar out to wear for some Christmas shopping. With my 70 vintage Coaching.

Pamella....first of all that's a gorgeous fox collar and it's perfect with your coloring. Love the scarf you chose which coordinates beautifully......in fact, you are perfectly coordinated right down to the ring you chose. Well done!!!

Okay, pamella, I can never refuse the blond beauty! I've attached some pictures of the fabulous charcoal gray collar. I apologize for the quality of the photos, as I took them in between pulling batches of cookies from the oven.

Now, I did take the time to put on a nice Chanel jacket that I thought would do the collar justice, but I put it on over my pajamas, so no full body shots!:D (Lily begged that I not try that again!)

The first two photos are with a favorite scarf - "Musique de Spheres," and the third is with the Elizabeth Locke brooch sans scarf. The third is with my new and FIRST Twilly - "Plumes" sent to me by a most lovely French friend. (Hugs to you my lovely.):hugs::love:

LilyHermes you've really outdone yourself this time with your new dark gray fur collar which is a great color on you. Just love the way you worked in your exquisite Medussa brooch and your scarf selection for the gray collar!

I took two ends of the GM and pulled them behind my neck to form a halter, and pulled the two corresponding ends to the front from the back of my neck and tied the two small ends to the first two front loops of the GM. Then I pulled one side of the GM (on the bottom) to wrap around my body, securing the whole dress with my belt. :smile1:

Hope this makes sense!

Brilliant, Dreamdoll, and the result looks terrific on you. :D

Lily, I googled Elizabeth Locke - you're right about those jewels being droolworthy. Note to self - stay far away from them....

Pamela, you look so lovely, as always!

Scarfie, we're both crossing our fingers for postmen visits tomorrow!

lilyhermes, this is just so beautiful!!! The grey looks fabulous on you and is PERFECTION with your Chanel jacket. :ps:

Love all the different looks you have created, it is simply breathtaking with your Musique des Dieux and so lovely with the tone in tone Twilly. Most AMAZING with the EL brooch  so unique and fabulous. Now you have tempted us all! Off to google E. Locke...

Love you, MT! Thanks so much, but none of the looks would have been possible without your great gray collar!

I think you'd like many of the Elizabeth Locke pieces, and I know that there are other EL fans here on the forum too etoupebirkin has a LARGE collection of EL pieces). She uses 19K yellow gold that is hand-hammered by Thai goldsmiths and also incorporates intaglios made from antique Venetian molds, as well as antique micro mosaic pieces, South Sea pearls, diamonds and colored gem stones. Her pieces are very distinctive, and she has a big following here in the States. I met her at Neiman's once, and she's quite a character too!

But, oh dear, she doesn't work in white metals, which I know are your preference. You may be safe from temptation!:p

LillyHermes...You look fabulous in all your pics! My most favourite is with your scarf "Musique de Spheres," tied as a bow. The colours are stunning. I hope you realize how much fun and joy you have brought so many of us with your wonderful DIY fur Collars!!! Thank you.:D

Oh, thank you, bonny. I'm so happy that you are having fun with the "Crafty" thread - even a year later!

Thanks, too, for the compliment on the Musique. It's a wonderful scarf and one of my favorites. You'll have to look for one!

Thanks so much, merrydish. I just love my new gray collar, and the fact that it works well with the brooch is just a happy little extra pleasure.:D
