I'm a brunette, so the brown would look nice. My H scarfs are mostly in pinks and browns, so brown would go very nicely.

Then again, I wear mainly white shirts and black cashmeres, so a black collar would go best. It would look lovely in fact... but it'd mean I might need to buy more black-based scarves :D

Pffft, I have 12 papers to write up and 4 grant proposals to write (I'm good at researching, bad at writing!) not to mention a kitchen to design and a library to re-arrange. So, let's just say I probably won't be sewing any fur collars in the near future :D

you have a wardrode like mine too...... I am flexible when it comes to mix and match.... hee hee........ bt i like the idea of buying more scarves :D

You're absolutely right, robee, scarf buying is imminent. More black-based scarfs to be purchased urgently. I need them to match my black fur.

I am so glad this thread was on page one again. I saw it last year but never followed through with doing it. Now I am for sure going to. I have a fur collar that was made from one of my minks when I had it redesigned. Now I am going to put the lilyhermesmagic to it and wear it like this!!

And I just followed after reading through this thread. I can't wait! At first, I was trying to figure out how I could convince my mother to part with a certain fur collar and then I discovered that I could have (almost) instant gratification. Thank you everyone for sharing your insights and photos. tpf is the greatest!

Wise choice, hypoxia, and the black will look stunning with your BBK. And, now you can check one thing off your to-do list and get back to those grant proposals and designing that kitchen (I'd have to bump that to the top of the list, as kitchen design ranks right up there with Hermes lust for me.)

And as chaz wisely said, more scarf buying is now a necessity!

Excellent, Penny, and if you get fur collar weather before I do, will you please send it east? (Although, I just stuck my head out the door, and it is quite nippy and fur collar appropriate here tonight too - yea, finally!)

I ordered the collar in black. Given my wardrobe and the number of black scarves in my drawer, it was a no-brainer. Thank you so much for starting all of this. As I told Mai Tai, I am going to show mine to my mother and sew some H ribbon in her fur collar per your instructions when I see her at Christmas. Thanks again to all of you for making this possible!
