Thanks Tillie! Almost makes me want to rush summer along! ;)

Thank you birkinmary, hair-mess, hclub, pamella, irish, LGA and Diva. Hopefully, this was the final step of a very sad journey. It certainly wasn't an easy couple of weeks, and even though I thought this part wouldn't be quite so bad, my hands were shaking as I carried the box containing her ashes to the car. I was so afraid that I'd drop the dear little thing!

I opened the little container when I got home, and there were her ashes - less than a cup is all that remains. I always did call her my "pocket kitty" as she was so small. A few more tears and then I went down to get the mail and found a sweet condolence card from her vet - more tears. I sure hope I'm done now!

Thank you everyone for all your help and sweet wishes.

Now, please continue the party. It's Friday night afterall!

Oh MsLily :hugs: Makes me think of my poor, sweet little Ebbie last year. Just as you think you might be done crying - that blasted condolence card from the vet arrives. Last time I had Twinkie in for her shots, I told the vet "Dude, you gotta stop with the condolence cards or send them immediately or something. That week later stuff just tears us up."

Not right now, but if anyone wants to see pics of my Ebbie girl, start with post 2606 here and there are pics on a couple of pages: http://forum.purseblog.com/hermes/the-official-hermes-chat-thread-457820-174.html#post11005151 I lost her a year ago this past May.

I had no idea vets send letters of condolence, and to do so a week after the fact, is just horrible! I feel terrible for you Lily, and wish I could reach through the screen and give you a big hug right now.

I just have an inkling Irish!! And Karen Carpenter...jeesh, couldn't you have picked someone who could actually sing?!??! :smile1:

Are you KIDDING??? Her voice was awesome. Can't speak to some of the song choices, but the voice was amazing.

But your inkling would be right. I can hear with perfect pitch (whatever the word for that is) but I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket if it had a lid and I used both hands.
