ame, thanks again for all your input! I'll pass the recutting info to my BIL, but I have a feeling he won't go through that trouble. Maybe maybe he would if he can't get a good price for the diamond.
Hermesaholic, thank you for the info! May I ask why you don't suggest going to the diamond district?? I went on Pricescope and the list for appraisers in NY included one that I THINK is in the diamond district area. I was going to suggest my BIL to go to that one bc it'll be convenient for him. Should he not go there? Or is it totally safe since it's listed on Pricescope? Thanks again!
