I'm thinking about getting this ring in white diamonds. The smaller size as an edgy everyday ring. It is not cheap, about $3,500 for only about 1/2 ct. if I remember right, but I sort of love it.

I'm just worried that it could look dated --- but then again I think it could just be the sort of piece that I would love to wear forever since its sort of "me." Please let me know your thoughts...

O man i've spotted this collection last year and it's been on my to buy list ever since! i have a lot of rings though so i'm trying to see if i can get the necklace in the same collection.. I have a wing tatto on my back .. i am obsessed with wings :) i would say go for it if the price is 3500. there was a gold one on sale from portero and that one was supposedly retailed at 3000.. so if the diamond ond is 3500 that's a really good deal. i need to check out their other stuff... love their cocktail rings too :)

Very unique! and if you feel it is you, (rather than just another new ring you can buy KWIM)I would not worry about it becoming dated. It will become your signature piece.

I love the wing. If something is your style it can never go out of style. Almost bought a diamond wing(not your designer, pricey but not that pricey) necklace this weekend, but New Years Resolution......NO MORE IMPULSE BUYS!!! Go home and think about it then if I can't stop thinking about it I can buy it(unless of course it's on sale for a really really good price!)

Mooks do you find it easy to wear? How long have you had it? I sort of want to wear it as a daily use ring, but don't know if its "too much."

My other dilemma is also that Garrard will only give you a store credit if I decided to return, so if I order it from the NYC store then either I have to make a special trip to try it on (I'm in DC) or just wait until the next time I'm in NYC.

No impulse buy on this, I've known about this ring for a couple of years, I have a silver necklace from the same line. I'm trying to come up with my jewelry wish items for the next year or two to plan out my purchases. Esp. since I think I'm done with purses (well maybe a certain Chanel) and shoes for the next year!!

i have always loved this ring too.. there was a used one on ebay a few years back.

i found it soo pricey for what you get that though. I bought a fake one on ebay that is almost the exact same design.

i am glad too, because the way the wing lays over your hand.. i definitely don't think its for everyday use. Although.. I find it gorgeous.

If you have the money and want too.. I would definitely buy it. I still want it. LOL
