No way!! My bday is in Feb too!! And thanks :) but I'm probably going to end up getting some SLGs because I need those more ^.^ hope you see the Delightful next to your cake when you blow out the candles

I'm having the same dilemma! I really *like* the Galliera but can't bring myself to really wear mine! It's been in the dust bag for a few years and I've taken it out a handful of times! Every time I wear it, I think it looks so amazing, but I just hate the vachetta getting dirty on the piping and top edge!!! EEK!

I really like the new Metis so think that would be a good alternative, but wonder if it's not as chic as the galliera, although i could see feeling SO much more comfortable with it since the only vachetta is on the shoulder strap.

Hmmm...

What day? Mine is the 26th =)) My husband and I went to LV today and I showed him the Delightful but he did not purchase it for me. I did not expect him to, but heres to hoping it will be mine on my bday! He told the SA he was sure we'd be back real soon. :happydance::happydance:

haha you sound just like me! I just wanna use the galliera for special occasions or when I dress up. I cant bring myself to wear her either but tonight I saw a woman wearing PM with a beautiful patina. It looked even more beautiful than mine does with light vachetta.
I also think I am afraid to ruin her because she was my first. We are crazy, arent we? We have beautiful bags just sitting in their dust bags.

Yes! Exactly! The Gal was my first LV too and I spent SO much time agonizing over picking the perfect bag!

That was EXACTLY my thinking too! Of course, it wasn't tho!

I think also when i got it, my lifestyle was different and i really liked more structured bags. Now styles have changed and I have too, went from 1 kid to 3! I'm always stuffing things in my bags so the structured isn't as important!

I think the Delightful would be perfect for you! The shoulder strap is thick and it is just as comfy if not more than the Galliera. I tried to fall in love with the Metis, because of the lack of vachetta, but I feel it is too big for my height. I am only 5'2 and it was too wide and long for me. I also did not like the rubbery texture...but it is the most practical bag they have for every day since it will NEVER look dingy. lol
With that said, I still want the Delightful and I am fixing to order Loving My Bags to keep the vachetta looking good on all my bags.
Do you clean/treat your bags??? I am curious to how often you are supposed to do this. I hope this is the answer to keep our bags looking amazing.:choochoo:

LOL! I havent' tried the Metis yet so don't know if it will even look right on me since I"m only 5'4", but I do like that there's a little bit of hardware on it (ie, the buckle). I like the Delightful, but think I would do the Sully over that since it's a zip closure, but who knows...haven't tried them yet! Maybe will just stick with the Galliera and just start wearing it and enjoy!

I haven't used LMB yet, but think I should buy some for the Gall and my others. i have a Saumur which def needs a cleaning.
