I would have posted this on the hall of shame but I suspect the listing will be removed and the enjoyment of the pictures will be forever lost.

There have been funny and obvious fakes in the past but the creed on this one is noteworthy.

Seller marklovesmud
Notice that the seller put the full serial number in the title. Did he/she not notice that the G and W were upside down? Or how about the creed describing a leather bag for this not leather item?

It's crazy how people make fake coach's. They aren't even that expensive!!
But if they can make a fake for $3 and sell for (even as cheaply as) $25 (and many go for way more), that's a pretty darned good return on an investment. And when multiplied by the thousands and tens of thousands of fakes they produce, the counterfeiters can get pretty rich.

That's sad. Yuck. I am selling one of my Coach's and the girl wanted more proof that it is real, mind you, it's a brand new Coach Rogue. I was thinking to myself, "they make fake Rogue's?". I have the receipt and everything and still wasn't good enough for her. haha.

Actually, some of the newer bags including those from the 1941 collection bags are SCARILY well-faked including Rogues, Swaggers, Dinkys (Dinkies?), Saddle bags, etc.

In fact on AT Coach and the Coach subforum, I often recommend buyers verify authenticity on every potential purchase of those bags, not to buy from sellers who don't include clear pictures of EVERY required detail and avoid sellers without a history of selling authentic Coaches.

JMHO.

Dang. Well I've only sold a couple Coach's on eBay so that sucks for me, but I've sold Chanel's. I always include tons of pictures, answer all questions and send everything I can that they request pictures of. I mean, I have the receipt from Coach online and the actual printed receipt. It's real!! haha. I paid for it myself and selling it under what I paid for to boot.

But that's good. Buyer need to be cautious. It's just sad for us real sellers who are trying to build a reputation.

Wow that's an awful, awful fake! Very cringe-worthy

I checked out the seller's other auctions, looks like they sell a lot of auto parts. This is probably the floor of a garage ...
. . . I am going to guess there may actually be a little *lunch* room and this the table. Off to the side out of view is likely a vintage Mr. Coffee in like condition. Ugh I am afraid to look up the seller, he may have sold me my dry Bleeker Tote.

Please post at the Authenticate This Coach thread under Coach shopping and supply the auction link and the other needed information listed in Post One of that thread. Unless it's an obvious fake, nothing can be authenticated with only one photo.

I just posted a really bad one I found from Mercari on the Hall of Shame thread. The person is asking $500 for the bag. I almost wonder if it is a joke listing because even if the person isn't aware it's a fake, $500 is pretty ridiculous to ask for. I see a lot of bad obvious fakes. It makes me a bit sad (and mad) when the person asks more than $5 for them.
