I'm just gonna throw my review in here. It's been a while since i've written a review on a bag, but I thought this one deserved some detailed discussion. I became interested in it because I love the silhouette of speedys and keepalls. They are so true to the spirit of Louis Vuitton's heritage, functional coolness, my interpretation anyway. I am excessively picky that I keep looking for bags that hit that sweet spot in terms of size, functionality and style, of which this bag ticks all the boxes. Here are my observations for anyone interested.

Pros:
1. This bag is a very specific mood, casual, less obvious than traditional monogram (which I love) yet still cool and classic. I love monogram, and have 25 and 20, but this black and gray colorway (I swear my eyes see lavender), so chic. I can see Wednesday Adams wearing this one, not the classic. (She's my hero.) On that same note, I think it would be a NO for so many because of the color. I'm relieved there is a limited market for this piece.
2. Size is perfect for people who need to carry more than a minimalist, more than the 20 will comfortably carry. But, it doesn't have the height of a 20, just a centimeter or two shorter. Love the difference. Because it's wider, it's easier to see access stuff than the 20. Less internal stacking.
3. The zipper, yeah this chunky black zipper. I don't know if this is true for all men's bags, but the zipper is significantly smoother and more sturdy than the zipper on both my 20s. I have mono and black. And it is much less scratchy. That is one of my biggest pet peeves about LV zippers, which goes all the way back 30-40 years. The way some bags are designed, your hand and potentially your jewelry get totally scratched up going in and out of bags. I canNOT. Love this smooth sturdy zipper. And also because it's not as deep as the 20 or 25, you don't need to reach as deep, thus not subjecting your beautiful bracelets to more scratches than necessary.
4. Love the leather straps around the bag and the handles, true to the keepall
5. No vachetta. I love vachetta and use my vachetta bags regularly. But I am still careful and aware. It is nice not to have to be so vigilant sometimes.
6. Crossbody, but that's hardly special since so many bags now have that option. But it is a requirement for me.

Cons:
1. The nylon strap is too heavy and the metal buckle digs into my back, but I am extremely sensitive to this due to injuries. Most people probably would not care as much.

Yeah, only one con so far. I will probably find more as I use it.
Great review and love your bag! I am a total fan of mono eclipse and eclipse reverse and have several pieces in it. Too bad this keepall doesn’t come with the black leather strap a few of the keepall xs came with, like the sunset mono. That strap is great and I use it with other bags. Really enjoyed your review, and I agree with you, these smaller keepall’s are speedy-like classics, and some of my most used bags. I also feel safer at the salon with a black bag when I go for color (not that I’m not careful, but yikes hair color and vachetta a giant no!). Enjoy your fabulous new bag!

Thank you so much. I agree. The strap on the XS is preferable to this nylon one. But for me that strap is still too skinny. I want to get the separate matching bandouliere strap but that is not available in the U.S. unfortunately. It is so nice not to worry about where you are placing it right, or what your hand may have touched before grabbing it. It’s my first black leather with a monogram print bag. May be a game changer.

Thank you for reviewing this bag. I have the XS size and definitely love the neutral color and no vachetta on it, but sometimes just wish for a slightly bigger space when my daughter ask me to bring her stuff. Definitely will check on this size. Enjoy your bag.

Hi I’m just wondering if you or anyone else that has this size bags knows if an IPad mini fits in it?
Thank you for the review. I’m trying to decide between this one or the leather one or the black speedy 25.

I’m almost positive that an iPad mini does not fit this because of the height. I’m guessing it would not fit a 20 either. But I’m positive it would fit in a 25. It’s possible it would fit in the city keepall. I’ll test out what I can and report back.

Thank you so much I appreciate it.
It will fit the 25 - lol I’m so undecided! Am going to Paris in April where I plan to buy one of them.

Here are my latest additions   I really thought the silver croco would be matte, but it has a silver metallic finish which Fades from black to silver depending on the angle. It’s really stunning in real life, cannot really catch it on the pictures! I also picked up the grey shadow monogram. It was on my list for so long, so I thought to finally get it.

Just a quick follow up about this bag. First off, check it out with this strap. I Love it. So fun. As a disclaimer I am anti-match about pretty much everything.

I also wanted to share pics of the inside of this bag compared to my 20. It is so easy to see, find and reach for things because it’s a little more shallow than the 25. And a minor yet significant difference maker is that the 25 has double zipper (while the keepall has one) which is nice but makes the 25 opening a wee bit smaller. And as I take things in and out of the keepall, I feel the difference each time.

Compared to the 20, the extra 5 cm makes a huge difference in being able to use toilette poucches that are a little longer.

And based on pics it would seem the width of the 20 and the keepall are the same but functionally the keepall is actually wider, probably cause it has the extra 5 cm of length.

And just using it on the daily, the ZIPPER. Smooth. Sturdy. I love that the zipper on the 20 goes down the side to allow for a wider opening but for quickness and smoothness of zip it can’t beat the straight smooth zip of the keepall. Again I wonder if you only get this on men’s zippers since LV may think that this chunky zipper is unattractive on women’s bags. And the fatter pull is so awesome. So much easier to grab. The teeth are just bigger and closer together in the men’s bag. There has got to be a gold version of the men’s zippers the LV can use.

Thanks for letting me geek out on these details. When I love something I always wanna know exactly why. Hope this is informative to some people.

@EpiFanatic This was SO informative and helpful!! Thank you!!! I'm considering a men's Keepall bag myself, love that the zipper is smooth and easy.

And @balen.girl you will love the wider opening. See how the zipper ends? It allows the two sides to be pulled a lot wider. Bags are so funny that way. Until you use it you don’t really notice the difference. An extra 5 cm makes all the difference in the world. Of course if you need room for a sweater or scarf, the speedy 25 is perfect.
