They're both lovely, but if you really wanted a small Crossbody, keep the Mercer.
thx

I think you look more comfortable with the Crosby. And, I think it suits you better. It can be dressed up or down....I say Crosby:smile:
thx...the Mercer is a little more trendy and I am a plain Jane classic loving gal.

I like both too! I may not be correct on this but I believe the Crosby will no longer be a retail purse and is now being moved to be an Outlet style with small changes like the hardware and turnlock (?) The one you have now is a retail one. The Mercer for now is still a retail style so based on this I would keep the Crosby and maybe down the road purchase a Mercer if I still it.
true. Plus this color Crosby I think was specific to Asia...Turquoise not Teal that we had in US. Outlet not the same quality.

Also, are you aware that the Crosby comes in a really small turnlock Crosby version in glovetanned leather, but I'm not sure of the availability, maybe on EBay? It came in the same Teal color as your current Crosby.

Actually, I own one. Let me know if you want a pic, although you can quickly google it too. Or maybe you own it -- it's way smaller than your Mercer.

PS. Sorry, I posted after Chihua5 did...didn't know the Crosby may not be a retail purse much longer?

Above is Google screenshot of Peacock color Crosby crossbody I referred to -- the glovetanned leather is so beautiful.
thanks for info and input!

I think for longevity, the Crosby is a better choice -- both in terms of style (I know you like classic styles like the Nomad) and in terms of color (the lighter green might not wear as well over time). However, you have said you wanted a crossbody. Maybe you need to look/wait for the perfect crossbody (one where you would know in your heart instantly you want it instead of having any doubts). I think part of the problem is that the top you are wearing in the picture goes perfectly with the Mercer (perhaps giving it an advantage and making it more difficult during this decision process?). Does the Mercer go with most of your clothes? Both are beautiful bags so you can't really go wrong. Good luck deciding and let us know .

Thank you for your very insightful, thoughtful response!

I know on my top and Mercer! It is a fun color. The Crosby seems a bit higher quality and I did buy a matching wallet from Macy's!
True about Crossbody too.

I vote for Crosby. Its classy and grown up looking. And its versatile, you can change the look by tucking in the sides. Although the Mercer color looks amazing with your top, I personally find the western details a little trendy, which usually means that in a few years it will be "stale" looking. I keep my bags for a long time, so I say stay conservative. What's nice about this Crosby is that the color keeps it from looking too conservative. Either way, you look great with both. Good luck!

Thank you! I know...I like the classics for the same reason...timeless.
