French Sole/London Sole or Repetto Experience?

I love Repettos, I used to take ballet back in the day, and I find the street shoes (in regular leather at least) mold to your feet after you wear them for a while just like their ballet slippers, & then are sooo comfortable. I wear size 9 and had to get size 40 (which were still a tad snug at first). I actually got a cobbler to add a thin topy sole (~$20) because I walk a lot in hilly San Fran., and they have held up really well for the past year of regular use. I got them in Paris last year, and now regret not buying more since they had a rainbow of colors and styles there (and are a bit hard to find in the US). I hope they will start selling online some day!

Is there a style that's most comfiest?

I'm looking to:
Same style: Low cuts (less plunge) Harriet (deeper plunge) -moulds
Same style: India (less plunge) Henrietta (deeper plunge) -doesn't mould

I'm looking for plain black leather and patent.

Not really sure whether I should go for Low Cuts now as a previous poster said no left or right foot = not comfy, but I would have thought since it moulded to the feet it would be? Also sole too thin? I like at least a little padding. Are deeper plunges not as comfy as normal plunges as there's not enough to stick your toes in which leads to toe cleaveage? I think I'm a fan of less plunges but would love to hear thoughts from owners which own the styles with deeper plunges.

Actually, the India style is a new name for the Pirouette. Can someone please help me with choosing between Low Cut and India. I like a little toe cleavage, but not the full on type where the flat feels like it's going to fall off. Many thanks!

Low cut had zero cushioning. It's allegedly the same cut as the Harriet, except that Harriet is even lower cut than the Low Cut. So it doesn't sound like you'd be happy with either of those styles.
Henrietta is cut lower than Pirouette/India, but other than that, it's supposed to be the same style (last) so I'd try the India's. They are not padded but were softer on the feet than the Low Cuts. I've put padded insoles into mine because I need all the padding I can get.

I love Repetto and Paul & Joe Sister. They are both definitely worth the extra money. By the way, I find them on the French website Kolector, they always have a large choice of Repetto and sell tax free when send outside EU :)

.. I have not tried London Sole shoes- but I swear by Repettos! their 'ballerines' are exquisitely made and unbelievably comfortable- I now own an embarrassing 9 pair- and, except for 2 pair of boots (1 of them is Repetto made also!) and a few pair of heels for evening (1 pair of Repetto 'Gisele'!), those 7 pair of ballerina flat Repettos are all I wear.. in serious concrete pounding, serious walking every day, serious subway steps, etc.. NYC!

if you make friends with a local cobbler/shoe repair person who does good, careful work- your Repettos will last a long time: my black, extra soft pair (not regular leather or suede, but either lamb or calf-) are the ones I wear the most- and I have had them re-soled and re-heeled twice already and they are nearly a full 2 years old. still wonderfully comfortable- I wear them ALOT.

I did invest in a pair of cedar shoe trees for my Repettos, though. that may help, too..

I can't praise them enough! good luck to you--
