Kissmark, I'm sorry, iw as busy this week and completely forgot to find out about the weight of the watches. Ill look into it on monday.

As for which one I like better? For fossil I like ce1001 and ce1004 over 1002 and 1003. Just keep in mind that for the fossil, the entire case isn't ceramic. The bezel is ceramic and the rest is stainless steel. But a great value for the price. With that said I do like the kors ones a lot..

hi what do you mean by this? you mean the back of it is stainless steel? in the picture at least it seems that the whole front part is ceramic. thanks

Here are my pictures of the MK watch. The band hasn't been adjusted yet & is too big, so if it looks funny on my wrist, don't mind that! :p

I'm not much of a flashy person, so the Swarovski crystals are very eye-catching -- I love it!

Very nice! I like the crystals too, it doesn't seem too flashy.

sorry i havent been here earlier. The black fossil is very nice, i think its much better than the white. As for the ceramic michael kors, yes they are all ceramic, they feel as heavy as metal. Keep in mind the fragility of them when purchasing and also know that it is possible for the material to get stained, very rarely.

btw, if anyone is interested in buying a watch, macys friends and family sale starts on the 28th, you get a %25 off discount with the coupon, including watches, which usually exclude them. if you were to get the ceramic mk, for example, youd be saving around $112!! :rochard:

Thanks for the tip! I might just grab the mk ceramic then :P
Does anyone have the coupon? My parents have a Macy's card, not sure if they received the coupon in the mail....

hi guys just want to say that I got this fossil resin using Macys FF
http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=464570&CategoryID=24064

Initially I was gonna get the MK coz I was worried that the Fossil might look kind of cheap. But when I went to the store and looked at it it actually looked pretty good. I agree with the previous poster that the black looks better than the white. The white is too white and not shiny enough to look like ceramic.

I picked up the MK5188 today for DIRT (let's call $80 plus tax) even though I went out for the more simple styled MK5163. Same white ceramic chrono, one with crystals one without. I could not pass up the price tag on the MK5188, there was a micro mark on it, so it was put out to pasture as a "damaged" item - small spot by the small hand on the metal by the one chrono dial, you can sort of make it out in the picture, but really can't see it when looking at the watch, manager was not happy the associate had it in the "damaged" pile, but none the less, I was not put off by it, since it's imperceptible and I talked them down further on price and the watch is now on my wrist. I'm in LOVE!!!

They are completely out of stock and probably not getting more in of the MK5188. Manager at MK told me they are rare to get a hold of and a reseller came in and bought the two white (plain/5163 model, I was *SO* bummed) and two black ceramic watches to resell on Monday. They were marked at $149. I missed it by a couple days. I will keep calling to see if they get the black plain bezel in at some point, I love this watch. Looks very rich.

I'm fairly worried about the crystals on the bezel dropping out, don't know if there is anything I can do to make sure I don't have a stray one or two go missing. I did see the acrylic bands and the Fossil ones, they are *ALL* really nice, can't go wrong with any of the watches referenced in this thread. IMHO, the MK definitely looks "richer" and more substantial than the Fossil, but it's what you like really when it comes down to it. I love the white ceramic, it has a beautiful glow. I have a tiny wrist and even though the watch has a larger face, it's not overwhelming on my small wrist/frame.

If you can get a hold of one of these at outlet prices, you can't go wrong. I'd have paid full price, but am thrilled I got such a deal what will now be my day to day summer watch! :yahoo:
