You girls have me diamond crazy! Haha DF just shakes his heads and laugh. I treat myself to things twice a year normally and June/July is right when I'm about due for my second. January was a purse and the Cartier trinity... And since DF just got his watch, he is feelig extra friendly with the guilt so he wouldn't care if I splurged for myself. I'm paying it for myself anyways!... But gotta control the spending. I'm heading to new york in two weeks for vacation too so I'm sure I'll be shopping there too...

Yea pay for the wedding, and save this for an anniversary. If thats not gone by then there will be others. I know he can get half carats. Probably much more cost effective for a necklace!
I know what you mean. This forum could be a "bad influence" as my DH calls it. Seeing Kohl's ring, I have been looking at yellow cushion diamond lately and my DH was like you didn't even pick up your new ring yet. I need self control but it's extremely difficult. Good stuff seems to be popping up all the time and I feel like if I don't grasp the opportunity, I may never find it again.
Regarding the bad influence comment, I just want to say that I obviously don't agree with DH. But lately, having learned so much from you ladies, I have been dreaming about taking the Graduate Gemologist program at GIA, so wanna take 6 months off and move to San Diego, that would be a dream come true.

Goodness the rising prices of everything makes me want to buy up everything too! Which reminds me.... Ame, that novo might be slightly out of reach if the price increase comes too soon, maybe you should pick it up to lock in the price and then maybe return it if it doesn't work out with your solitaire?

I am going to see what my options end up being when I see the jeweler. If he'll straight up trade me, I will have him do it, but I will likely have it be stock if possible.
But I guess I should go try ON the Novo. I should've today. Maybe tomorrow... Just to see if it matches width.
