For those that have had their bracelet fixed/serviced

You can barely even see it sticking out so I didn't even notice it or realize that was the problem for a while. Once I did, I actually felt better knowing it was something that could be fixed and it wasn't just something I'd have to live with (if that makes crazy sense....) LOL

absolutely yes it does ,I know cartier is very good about taking care of its customers

Me tooooooo!!! I miss it! Although it'll be nice to wear them both and not have it irritating my wrist constantly!!! I would really bother me after a long day at work when my wrist is resting on the keyboard all day!!!! For weeks I thought it was just wearing two together that was so uncomfortable!

Hi babe best wishes for a speedy return they had better not ask you to pay for it as it’s surely a fault if you’ve only had it 3 months!

I have no irritation at all from my two so it should be fine once they repair x

Good luck [emoji4]

I dropped it off on Saturday. He said to expect 3-4 weeks for them to get this back to me. :(

The service manager said he knew exactly what I was talking about by the softened edges after polishing but he said that the amount of polishing that will be required after this repair will not cause that. He said that typically happens after a substantial (or repetitive) polishing.

That’s not true! For any polish or shine treatment removing scratches they use a polish cream and machine. They always remove gold and therefore the risk of rounding edges is there.
Think about it: it’s work done by an employee or goldsmith, any actual jeweller (not just a Cartier/luxury brand SA) or goldsmith can confirm this.

My two love bracelets where dropped off for cleaning and putting glue on the screws. Specifically mentioned no polish (they later called shine) at the spot or any scratches removed. I got them back and a random SA did the shine treatment and totally messed up one love bracelet completely, the other ‘just’ on one side.
Any polish or shine will have a risk of rounding edges if the procedure isn’t done by the experienced craftsman/goldsmith.

In any event, they called me a few hours after I dropped it off to tell me the service manager said that not polishing isn't an option but that "this type of repair and polish won't have that "softening" effect". Guess i have no choice but to trust he knows what he's saying since I don't have the option to forego the polishing.

Maybe the fact that this is a repair that is sent off site, they have the ability to do it and keep the original shape.

It's in!!! So a little less than 2 weeks. Not too bad!
Not sure of the exact cost because he didn't have the paperwork in front of him but he said he placed a $150 threshold on the order so they would have called me for permission if the repair was going to cost any more than that. So sounds like they acknowledged it's a defect on the one screw and sounds like replacing the other screw was under $150. Bracelet isn't even 4 months old so who knows....maybe they did it for free? One can hope right? Going Saturday to get it so I'll find out then! So excited!
