I have had mine since June. Color is beautiful and so is the leather. My only issue is a couple of small threads starting to pop out on my handles. They are white in color. Not sure how to deal with this or if will become more of an issue. I absolutely love the bag and don't want to get into a big thing with trying to return it. Purchased from NM in June. Any suggestions?

hrm... got myself an 09 black twiggy last week :D used her every day and so far so good! leather was very veiny and distressed and thick, i think it'll break in rahter nicely.

will report back in a couple of months! i like to use my new bags continuously for the first month or so to break them in and 'bond' with them :shame:.

My leather is still black and is really breaking in nicely. The leather is so thick, which I love, but it's definitely on the dry side. I'm hoping it will soften with more use. I use it every day.

my 09 black city has green undertones :crybaby:
I don't know what to do, send it to balenciaga for a spa? sell it and buy a new one? Is there a solution for stop the discoloration? :s

Hey girlies! I started this thread and I thought I'd report that the bag I originally spoke about was returned soon after because I saw some green undertones on the handles when looking closely in the sun. I will not have a repeat of my 07 Balenciaga which I eventually sold.

I am still dying for a black city and I saw a gorgeous one today at the boutique. The color isn't jet black though but none of them were :sad: However, the leather was as thick as 05 leather. I dunno why this particular one was like that and the rest were thin but wow. I have it on hold. It also looked like it needed a little conditioning but that shouldn't be a problem. I'm still very concerned about the greenish tint though which could eventually happen. This particular bag was from Fall and it had no green yet so maybe that's a good sign since I know the spring blacks are out now haha.

Anything else to report on the black cities from fall staying true to color?

My is a little strange, sometimes I think it looks kinda grey, but other times it looks really black. Am I seeing things? The 2010 black ones look really good though.

StarBrite310: Sorry to hear about your City. I just checked my fw 09 black City and it's still very black with no green tinges. Anyway I got mine last September and it's my most used bag since then so I thought that's pretty good considering my 1st black City also from fw 09 had a corner turn green in less than 2 months.

And just to add, I think a lot of black Bals if not all have green undertones just that colour-wise the less saturated ones will show more. I've told myself not to freak out should my black City start fading/showing green tinges one day. For me, it's only unacceptable if they turn green in a short amount of time or only at certain areas like my previous City.
