I have the mini Puzzle Edge, in sand. I was really drawn to the contrast trim in a deeper beige colour. I was a bit too late to get an original mini, and I always wanted the sand colour

I also prefer brand new. When I saw first the Edge in person I thought it was a beautiful bag, just like the OG

I’m glad for now they are still producing the classic puzzle in small size and wouldn’t rule out saving up for one in the future. But I really do love my Edge
That's great that you love your Edge mini! Sand is such a nice neutral. It's such a shame Loewe didn't keep both types of puzzles in sand - now the only way to get a Classic in sand is pre-loved.

I got the mini edge last year in Paris. I figured while I was there I would get the puzzle bag since I've always kind of liked it but didn't want to pay the US price. I was a little disappointed to find that the style had changed. They did have some of the original in the mini sizes but I did not like the silver hardware or the black edge paint, so I got the mini edge in the toffee color. Honestly I think it looks great in the mini size and the matching edge paint and gold hardware makes the bag look a little more feminine and "fancy". Easier to wear day to night. I did try the small size and felt it was a little bulky though. I think the edge for the mini size is great but anything bigger I rather have the original. Bit annoyed the price is the same though, since obviously the work that goes into making the original is way higher than the edge version lol.

I have the same view, although I didn’t dislike the black painted seams, when I saw the edge in the sand and toffee coffees, I loved the complimentary trim in a similar shade. And it’s super cute in the mini size. If it wasn’t for this forum and the overall preference for the OG puzzle I wouldn’t have done so much research to question my choice 😉

I appreciate both styles, but for my choice of my size and colour I think I would always chosen the Edge even if both were available

If I do decide to save up for the original puzzle, I’m glad they will be continuing to produce it in the small size

It is strange isn't it that the Edge versions seem bulkier than the Classic versions of the same size, even though they're supposed to be the same measurements. Or at least that's what I found personally.

You definitely don't need to question your choice if you love your Edge - there's no right or wrong and you're actually lucky to be in the minority because you have so many more options now. I'm personally a big fan of contrast edge paint, stitching, etc on bags, as long as it's not a quilted design because that might be too much.

Thanks to those who have voted so far. After 53 votes, it's no surprise that 77.4% choose the Classic/Original (you hear that, Loewe?). 11.3% would purchase an Edge and another 11.3% are basically scrapping getting a puzzle altogether because of limited options. We've been seeing a lot of individual opinions on this topic so it's fun to get some real numbers from real people.

Keep your votes coming!

Thanks to those who have voted so far. After 62 votes, the proportions remain unchanged. 77.4% choose to buy the Classic/Original, while only 11.3% would go for an Edge. Another 11.3% have given up the puzzle due to limited options.

I purchased a small puzzle in 2021 (I think before the edge came out?) so mine is the original. I then bought a mini puzzle edge in a tricolor about a year and a half ago and I honestly use it way more than the small. It might have to do with the size, but I find the small puzzle is boxy and the opening is rather small for what it holds. I love both, but I don’t think I’d purchase any new puzzle bags given how much the price has increased since I got mine.

My story with the Puzzle is a bit different, I really disliked the original bag, all those edges ;) pieces sewn onto it, nah  Then I saw the Edge and fell in love. Very long story short - ordered an edge in toffee from Loewe, UPS lost/stole the package, never received it. And then by accident I stumbled across the original tan from 24s. After receiving confirmation from Loewe that it is their official retailer and I could bring the bag to one of Loewe's boutiques to make 1000% sure it was okay/not fake/not outlet etc., I very reluctantly ordered the classic with the feet (blah), and the d-ring (more blah) ;-DDD And when I received it, it was love at first sight, was so grateful to UPS for having lost that toffee edge. Saw it in the boutique last June, and didn't like the stiff grained leather or the new design. So starting as team edge I ended up being totally team original ;)

Yours is definitely an unusual story. Glad it all worked out in the end! It's funny how you thought the feet were blah at first - there are probably some who would kill to get feet put on their puzzles!

I know🤭 but I dislike feet on bags immensely. Sold all of my bags with feet. And funnily Puzzle is so cuboid, again, don't like structured bags, but fortunately it kind of melts into a puddly shape. But honestly it was such an intense feeling of joy and you know, it felt right and organic right away. Still in love with my tan after nearly a year, so recently bought a second hand one in patchwork 🤩
