Scarves For Fun: Favorite scarf; most used scarf; most memorable scarf

Ok I will play. I hate taking selfies, so all flat pics. Apologies for pic size.

1. My most favorite scarf is a tie, weirdly enough between my least expensive scarf and my most expensive scarf. Les Perles De Turkana ($80) tickles me with its quirkiness and its shades of purple. My ELEK CSGM (not willing to admit the crazy money I spent to get it) pleases me because it took me more than 2 years to figure out what colorway would work for me. I hate orange in my scarves, but low and behold, the final selection has tons of orange. I had not considered this colorway because of my antipathy to orange, but I gradually fell in love. Now it brings me such joy. Yes. I am drawn to scarves with in your face color.

2 My most used scarf is one of my least favorites. I think of it as my bland scarf--my invisibility cloak. I wear my Peuple du Vent CSGM to the Cinebistro which is always freezing all year round. Cinebistro is one of those theaters in which you can eat a full meal in your seat as you watch the movie (DH loves doing this, me not so much). So I figure if I drop food on this dark busy pattern it won't show. What you are looking at is a $900 table cloth. The fact that I wear my least precious item the most is not lost on me.

Edit: Found a rare selfie in the files.

3. My most memorable scarf is La Tour Eiffel s'Envole. It was planned to be a scarf on site as I purchased it right before my first trip to Paris. I thought I would try to wear the same scarf every day but do a different tie every day to build up my non existent tying skills. I tried the friendship knot the first day, and was sufficient discouraged that I threw in the towel on my skill development project. Now that scarf lives in a fixation system on the wall of our exercise room as a sweet reminder of a lovely vacation. (The picture below is the purchase picture-not my fixation kit).

It is black with little dots cut out sort of like a sports jersey.

Added a picture from the internet (the pattern is far more subtle in person though)11724419-70B6-49DE-8DB7-603B781C8339.jpeg

My most used and most memorable scarf is my pink Twilly I bought when I was 15 - my first Hermes item. I was soooo happy when I got it. Still bring a smile to my face now :)
I also really adore this Orange scarf I usually take w me traveling and on some business missions. Def make me more confident and stand out. Loves

Thought this thread could use a revisit:
  • What is your all time favorite scarf (color way, pattern, etc ) whether you own it or not? Anything marbled
  • What is your most used scarf? Probably my Summer Party Muffler
  • What is your most memorable scarf (whether it was your first, handed down from a loved one, or one that you bought during a happy time or in a memorable place? Collier et Chiens because one of the dogs resembles one of mine
Adding some questions in case anyone wants to include these:
  • What is your favorite material? Cashmere/silk; it's just so soft
  • What is your favorite format? Muffler; I'm terrible at tying

1) C’est La Fete men’s 70 - When I first laid eyes on this scarf randomly scrolling through H scarf threads here last year, it was an immediate love at first sight. I knew it wouldn’t be an easy find but patience paid off and I did.

  • What is your most used scarf?

2) Coaching men’s crinkle scarf 140 - A lucky vintage find. It is the easiest to wear. I have 2 colourways but wear the darker one more than the other.

Happy to!

Also, I was going over my list of items to request on my next visit and was debating ”Amis pour la Vie.” It is now officially on my list. May your beautiful girl rest (or run free, whichever she prefers) in peace.

Amis Pour La Vie is a sweet little thing. The other colourways are more vibrant but I picked the one where the wolf and girl are both in pink. Just throught it’s a nice touch that we’re matchy.

(1) What is your all time favorite scarf (color way, pattern, etc ) whether you own it or not?

I really really love Pegase Paysage, own the 90 cm wash in orange/pink/yellow. Would kill for the CGSM in tan/black/white and red/black/grey.

(2) What is your most used scarf?

Tie between 90cm Jungle Love Rainbow in the green/blue CW and 90 cm Bolduc au carre. That was a good season.

(3) What is your most memorable scarf (whether it was your first, handed down from a loved one, or one that you bought during a happy time or in a memorable place?

My first is a Flowers of South Africa 90 cm bought in Capri on a holiday with my mum. That one is not one I reach for often, I would never sell it though.
