Beautiful bags Ranag! What is your fav leather for an everyday bag? I'd like to get a birkin in one of these leathers that I can use all the time without worry.... But I also like a bag to keep its shape... Help??
This is just my personal opinion for what it's worth - I am just crazy about Fjord, but I have had a very difficult time finding bags in Fjord. If I could find a Birkin in Fjord in a color I wanted, I would snap it up in a heartbeat
Togo is my next choice because I love the veining on the leather, the texture and grain, and that it is a little less floppy than Clemence.
If you are looking for a pre-loved bag, Ardennes is fantastic for everyday! It is practically bullet-proof
It is a shame that they no longer make Ardennes...

I am surprised at how different the fjord looks. It's certainly a more pronounced grain, and it just looks thicker and stronger somehow.
Do you think your bolide looks more structured because of the fjord, or because of the shape of the bag?
I'm considering a SO for a fjord 40 birkin with matte palladium h/w, especially if I can't get VL or chevre. What do you think? Is it crazy if I already have a togo?

I think I only have one Togo Birkin - It is Indigo and it is a few years old. I have Clemence, Ardennes, Box, Chevre Mangalore, Lizard, Croc, etc. Most of my bags are from 2007-present though. They all get rotated so much that there are no significant shape changes yet.
Have you considered Graphite? It is a fantastic color - I have a Jypsiere and my husband has a Steve messenger in it.
Fjord is very sturdy but feels as smooth as silk. It does feel stronger and thicker to me. I think the Bolide is a very structured bag anyway, so I really cannot comment about the structure of Fjord in another style. It is a very hardy leather though.
I am attaching photos of the Graphite bags. I don't know if Graphite is available in Fjord, but I am sure it would be gorgeous!

I just thought of another leather - Buffalo. I don't know if you can still get Buffalo from Hermes, but sometimes you can find it resale. It is a fantastic leather! Very sturdy yet slightly soft. I don't quite know how to explain it other than it really is a great leather.

Does anyone have a picture to share of a Black Fjord Birkin with GHW? I am debating about getting my first black Birkin in Fjord with GHW rather than Togo. I have a red bag in Fjord and love it. I have other colors in Togo, which I also love. I've seen quite a few photos of Black Togo with GHW, but I am having a hard time visualizing the Fjord leather in black with GHW. Does the black color look less black and more charcoal in Fjord? Thanks!
Yes. On my bags at least, the grain is larger on the Fjord and the finish is more matte.
