hello ladies and gents

i will be going to Paris by the end of next week, i’ve been nagging and nagging to force my parents to take us to Paris. u know why! :pdon’t u?:p

now I am not sure how I can get a birkin(s) from the 24, faubourg boutique. Im gonna ask my dad to take me to boutique every single morning, at 9:30 am.:choochoo:

now, I want to know, if I wont be able to find a birkin (god forbid ), will I be able to place an order? If yes, will I be allowed by the SA’s to order more than 2? 3 or 4 probably? I m not talking exotics now.. pleaseee help

one more question, i know that birkins are for 5k++ euros, so, is it okay that I pay in cash???? :p

now do I look stupid for asking these questions?

FSH doesn't open until 10.30am. You may also want to try the Georges V store as people have had alot of luck getting Birkins from that store.

Don't pin all your hopes on getting a Birkin as it's still unusual to find one. If they do allow you to order a bag it will be A bag not multiples, very strict on that especially with walk-in clients. For those that build a relationship it may be a different situation though

No reason why they wouldn't accept cash although I don't think it's a sensible idea to walk round with €5,000!!!

I was told that they are not accepting orders from walk-in customers at either FSH or George V, but there is no harm asking. Unfortunately I think July-August is summer holidays for the the craftmen too, so bags may be a little thin on the ground. Good luck on your Birkin hunt!

agreed . it also help not to ask directly outright flat about birkins. find a sa you think you may "tick" with and then even if there are no birkins available he/she may offer to order one for you .(it does happen albeit rare but i remember a few members on here were able to order even if it was their first visit maybe they will write here too?)

as walk ins it is (if they do have birkins on the floor etc) one birkin per customer - so i have read here some use their husband or friends name + credit card to buy more than one

good luck

ah and hermès has so much more than just birkins to offer. maybe you find something totally different that makes your heart flutter?

I think somebody mentioned in another thread that there is a limit on the amount of cash they will accept in France. Will find said thread and report back!

H accepts cash up to 3000€. It's in the 'Those who purchased crocs directly from Hermes'- or words to that effect- thread, currently on page 10 in main section!

lilach > you r such a DOLL ! thank you thank you for the tips  i'll do what u said...

pooky83 >>> yes i heard that through this forum, that is why i have asked if it is possible to pay the full amount in cash :sweatdrop:.. please let me know if you find out something ;)

When I was there about a month ago I was told that they are not allowed to place orders at the moment in FSH, but if you are looking for a combination they are expecting to come in over the next month or two, they will put your name on it and you can have it. In George V they told me that they do not keep bags for anyone and they just get what they get, put it out on the floor and it's up for grabs to anyone who gets there! I saw two croc Kellys and bought my own black Birkin there, and I was also offered a lovely white Birkin at FSH.

Good luck in your search-- definitely worth going every day.

I will be going to Paris too in a few months and I'm hoping to get a Birkin there as well. Please let us know how your H shopping experience will go. Enjoy your trip and good luck :smile1:

just a remider, if you don't find anything in the morning, you should go back around 3:00pm, they should get 2nd shipment of the day. Usually I'll go the FSH first, if nothing, then I'll go George V at 3ish, that's how I snag my Troika HAC Birkin!!

hello ladies and gents,
im also a newbie, and i currently resided in singapore.
it is very hard to get a birkin even kelly here.
been to the boutique several times, always no stock.
tried to buy the tidbits like belt, scarf, and accesories.
finally i'm able to put my name in the waitlist, which is 3 years for a birkin and 1-2 years for kelly.
anybody have tips to share so i can get my first birkin or kelly sooner?
