First Tiffany Necklace

This necklace is in my wish list, but I worry about it being fragile and getting bent out of shape quickly. (I had an issue with an EP ring that got bent out of shape and wasn’t fixed properly by Tiffany). How is the wear and tear of this piece?

This is a solid piece, not at all fragile. It's also an understated statement piece, if you know what I mean.

Hi apologies I just double checked the (very old) conversation with the SA on WhatsApp, and yes at the time it was 7mm vs 9mm, apologies, I think I know where I got the 5mm confusion from (another project).
So mine is definitely 7mm.
(I don’t remember a smaller version at the time so it may be a more recent change the 6.5 vs 7, but maybe I’m wrong, the sizes in my pics are definitely right this time though ; but also checked my European Tiffany and as you say it’s 6.5 or 9mm now - I’d imagine it’s not a huge difference really 0.5mm).
My advice would really be to see them in person tbh.

In any case I did find scrolling up two mod shots from the SA of both 7mm and 9mm with a 0.07 rg DBTy, in case it helps

Thank you so much for the comparison pics. The bean necklace looks lovely. Is the chain thickness the same for 6.5 and 9? Or is one thicker than the other? I can’t really tell the difference in the pictures but would prefer a thicker chain for daily durable use.

I think the same for all Tiffany gold pieces really, but I’m unsure, I only have two (bean + dbty). I’d say they’re fine though, for over a year I almost never took off the bean for instance, and never really had to worry about it, it’s still in the same condition to be fair. (Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t tried them with extreme sports☺️)

I find the Tiffany T Smile necklace to be both subtle and elegant in all its iterations, regardless of its size, whether it's white, yellow or rose gold, with or without diamonds, and so wearable. Funny thing, although I'm only 5'3" but with long arms and legs which help me look taller than I actually am, I look best in stronger jewelry pieces. This is the Tiffany XL Smile necklace I wear most days at the longer 18" length. I've had it for 2-1/2 years and never tire of it. Every day I put it on it feels special. Goes with everything!
