First scarf purchase... are knotting cards included?

Didn't know they were hard to get, now I'm pretty pleased with the SA I worked with!

Was in a store and buying a plisse, and got two sets of cards without asking! I'd asked how to tie a plisse (never bought one before) and the SA kindly threw in one set of cards for me and one for my sister who was just accompanying me and not buying anything! My sister loves them

Have to say, I prefer the illustrations in the older booklets... more clear. The new cards are very vague.

I was told by my SA that the very reason they're so picky with who gets the scarf cards is because people keep turning around and selling them on ebay. Sigh. Good luck girl!

Well by that logic, they should stop selling Kellys and Birkins too! At least no one has yet tried to sell fake knotting cards...perish the thought! I love the logic of H!!

I do have the downloadable cards, but want the tangible version. Thanks to everyone for their input.

There is a seller on ebay who has the cards but wants $20 for them, which I find absurd for a free item. I just hate when people do things like that... like selling the Carre booklet on ebay for $9.99! I can't understand it!

Hopefully I'll get my hands on some, someday!

You will...it seems that the boutiques often run out of them, but you are bound to hit at a time when a set are in. I would mention it to the SA that you are cultivating a relationship with, tell her that you love the scarves but don't know how to wear them (and with more info on knotting you can buy more scarves!) Maybe she can keep an eye out and grab you a set when their next batch comes in! Good luck!

Not that I am defending the seller, but if people didn't pay the $20 for them, they wouldn't be on eBay. That's supply and demand for ya...

Knotting cards are controlled items at my store, and supply is limited. And yes, they run out fast. A set does not come with every scarf sold.

My very first set of knotting cards came from a tpf friend in Europe.

My cousin bought 1 scarf and a pocket square few months ago from our local store. She requested the knotting cards, however they didnt have any at that moment, but the nice SA told her to write in her details, so that when its available, it will be mailed out to her. She got it after 3 months of waiting, but its worth it!
