Hi everyone,

I'm looking to purchase my first Cartier watch. I'm interested in the Panthere and the Tank Must (both in Stainless Steel, size Small). Which would you choose? I am petite so not worried about how small the Panthere is. Thank you!

I love my stainless Panthere. I don't like huge watches. It will never go out of style. If you're petite it will look great on you.

Thanks! Would you be comfortable sharing a photo of your watch? I find it's really helpful to see photos on the wrist. thank you

I'm terrible at taking photos like this. Apologies for my gnarly hands, I'm sure it would look better on you. I am 5'5", 135 lbs. I bought mine when the Panthere was reissued and debated between it and the somewhat larger Tank Francaise. The saleswoman agreed this looked better on me. She said younger women tend to favor the Tank Francaise or Ballon Bleu, and I've observed it with my 30 y.o. daughter and her friends. I wanted a Panthere when they came out in the 80s but I was a poor college grad at the time. I like that it can be casual or dressy. I also have an Omega Constellation, another 80s classic, but I find that I wear this more. Hope this helps.

I just ordered one in stainless steel. I have to wait for it to be shipped in from overseas. For reference, I was trying to decide between the small tank and the Panthere as well. The SA I worked with thought the Panthere worked better for my petite frame. I am 5'3", 106 lbs. I can't wait to receive it but it has been delayed until the second week of June.

Good luck with your selection!

I’m so glad I stumbled across this - my husband and I were just discussing this. He’s no longer a fan of my Apple Watch - I was leaning towards the Tank, but this thread made me look at the Panthere a little closer

Update…

My Panthere mini arrived yesterday. It is stunning however; the stainless looks smaller than the two tone I tried on in a boutique two weeks ago. Attached are photos. I have a small wrist and this size fits and looks more like a bracelet but it is lightweight which I like. I had the larger version of the Panthere a few years ago and I sold it because it was too heavy and I stopped wearing it.
Does it look too small for my wrist? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!
