Yep - put my stuff in it, slung it over my shoulder, and that was it! I knew going in I was going to get the black. Saw the chestnut, admired it from across the store, and didn't even pick it up. I didn't want to confuse myself after I'd made the decision to go with black! They brought 3 out for me to look over and I ended up wanting the one on the floor. It had only been out a week, and was the prettiest and most pebbly (is that a word??). I'll take pics tomorrow when it's light and I have her all loaded up!

Can anyone with the Madison hobo tell me if the hardware on the handle (that is like chain link) is noisy? Like does it clink around all the time when wearing the bag? Thanks in advance!!!

I haven't found the hardware noisy at all! It's a very quiet bag. It probably helps that the hardware is very light and thin. Noisy bags annoy me and this one definitely isn't. :)
