First Chanel - debating between classic WOC and trendy CC WOC

I love the look of the Trendy, but worry about the hardware tarnishing over time/constantly showing fingers prints. The classic is easy to care for and can be dressed up or go casual ( my classic)

I own a classic quilting WOC black caviar gold hw but wish I bought Trendy CC WOC too when the price was much lighter ( $2500 a couple of years ago - now It's 3300 ) My friend has Trendy WOC and It look so luxurious and more like "purse/small bag" compare to a classic WOC when worn. She brought it when we traveled before and used at fancy dinner that was perfect more than even a mini flap ( mini looked more casual vibe ) It looked so pretty with shiny gold plate on top at the evening - my classic one looked more casual next to hers..lol and she used for sight seeing during the day and outfit looked grade up with it. It has many way to wear as a purse more than wallet on chain, so I guess 3300 is actually not too bad for as a Chanel bag I'm still considering myself if I find nice colored one!

Trendy!! I have one and I love it. I haven’t needed to “baby” it, and the lambskin looks near perfect.

To me, the classic WOC had a few major flaws I couldn’t get over. Mainly the opening and the edge wear from the chain, along with the flap distortion that happens over time (the whole bag becomes more “curved” due to the the way the chain attaches). The trendy doesn’t have this issue due to the turnlock and the grommets. It also looks more appropriate for dressy events but can also be casual.

I always reply here that I prefer a more fancy look on the Chanel small piece :)

It provides you more versatility to use your bag such as; it helps to upgrade your daily look, more suitable for evening party or reception...etc.

I own several classic models in bigger size and my woc is a fancy seasonal piece.
Hope this helps.
