First Cartier watch: Panthere or Santos?

Please help me decide on my first Cartier watch! I've narrowed it down to Panthere or Santos, on stainless steel. I really like both, although I know they are quite different styles
.
Currently I also have Rolex Date Just stainless in 26mm, and Chanel white ceramic.
For this Cartier watch, I will get the stainless steel bracelet as well as a leather band to mix it up.

Attached photos are photos I found on google, not my own. I haven't been able to try them on at the stores due to Covid :(

Both are beautiful watches. The santos is more masculine. Also bear in mind that the smaller santos sizes have been discontinued so you will either have to buy the men’s size or go the preloved route.
I like the panthere better as it’s more feminine. But I also believe that the 2 watches are similar in many ways and there’s no point in owning both.
Pick the one that goes best with your style. Hope that helps !

I have the two tone small pathere and I love it! My next watch will be the Santos.
That said , if you are going all stainless I think the Santos. Just personal preferences, but I like the panthere better with gold accents.
Also, aren't the new patheres done in a shiny finish? Mine is the older more matte finish. I am not a fan of all that shine

@Violet Bleu @babypanda I had no idea that 1. The small size is discontinued and 2. The small size is only available on Santos Dumont model, which only comes in leather band! Since I want a small size that comes in both ss and leather bands, I guess the santos model is out?

But you are right I really need to go and try them on to be sure!

I am tempted by the two tone panthere, but I don't really own any gold jewelry and almost never wear them. The all gold panthere is gorgeous though, but out of my budget :(

Happy to help! I guess if you want the small model in all steel AND you want it new, the choice is made for you
I was in love with the santos for so long (I loved the SS with YG) and when I went to Cartier to purchase it 3 years ago they had only one piece left and had just released the panthere. After trying both I bought the panthere in medium size and I absolutely love it to this day. It feels more like a bracelet and is so elegant. I will try to insert pictures if I can find them :)

Btw can you switch to a leather band with the panthere?
I know the bracelet is one of its unique features but just wondering if we have the option for leather band.
