First Cartier Piece, Love Earrings ($1.5K USD) vs D’Amour Small Earrings ($1.8K USD)?

This is so thoughtful & detailed, thank you again!! I think my earlobes are on the thicker side (I should know this lol). The price point is a true...especially since the other option is just 1 mm bigger? If I choose to buy two of the single Love Earrings, I’ll let you know how it goes

@lill_canele Thank you for your help! I just figured out the D’amour XS is 0.08 total carat weight at $1040, while the D’amour S is 0.09 total carat weight at $1810. Do you believe this jump is justifiable? I think perhaps the D’amour S has a thicker bezel, hence the higher price point. What would you recommend? Worst case I might consider Tiffany’s DBTY diamond studs. I just don’t like how their backings are just butterfly (not as secure as Cartier’s). Thank you again

I confess I didn’t think to buy a pair of singles at the time. If I had and it was less costly, I definitely would have. I recently bought a pair of the JUC hoop singles because of the dramatic price difference between the pair. I love them and love that they are smaller and less heavy than the version sold as a pair!

Thank you for your reply The JUC hoop singles are also very pretty! I’m glad you like them more than the pair version! I’m pretty convinced with the Love earring singles at this point because of the pricing as well. I’m looking for small-ish daily wear/secure earrings. This may fit the bill!

Perhaps depends on the country of purchase, I got the cleaning kit and a travelling pouch after I have ordered my bracelet online from the US store. I have called the customer services and asked them to send them to me after I’ve placed the order. All of my other purchases were directly from my local store.

That jump in price for 0.01 carat is not worth it for me. But it all depends if it is worth it to you!

I agree that I do love a secure backing for earrings. I have lost enough earrings to either just go for costume jewelry or have much more secure clasps for my fine jewelry.

The love studs that come as a pair do have secure push button backings and you can tighten to your liking which is my preference. The small ones are cute but have heard from many people that they fall forward because you can’t tighten them to fit your ear. Just a thought. Here is a picture of mine in white gold.

Of course! I really love the love singles. As everyone else said, it’s a great every day earrings. The XS d’amour are pretty too but you might be underwhelmed by them if worn alone. I do think you can get better value by getting diamond studs elsewhere.

I would try emailing customer service for the cleaning kits. I’ve been meaning to do this too! ☺️
