I find a ton of stuff at thrift shops and rarely in all my years have I found many British tan items ever. But it does happen sometimes. The reason they are otherwise pricey is because they are pretty much one of the favorite colors you can buy. High demand=higher dollar. If you can find one in excellent condition in that color for under $50....go for it! that's a good deal! I am a thrift shop maven, and I'd pay that in a heart beat for that color Court. Bag. Good luck.

Thanks a bunch for your insight! I recently found one in good condition for around $50 to $60 on ebay with no one bidding (the pictures are really small but I can ask for more to get it authenticated). May have to give it a shot but I still want to check out my local GW (I've never been thrifting before so I'd like to test my luck).

I actually found my black Court bag in new condition (it is one of the "new" ones currently available on the site, not an older one) for $40 at an estate sale a couple of months ago. They had it at the front counter with the jewelry.
