Finally, She's Decorated and Loaded ...

... and I am taking her out before it starts to rain again!

Yesterday I treated my new Borough EW Town Tote 30381 with Apple Rain Garde spray (both inside and out) but today I had a hard time decorating her.

The D rings attaching the handles are small, there's not much space, and most fobs and charms stick out at a weird angle. I tried rings, dogleash clasps, and snap closures but none of them worked.

I finally took the ring off of my butterfly, heart, star fob and attached it with a heavy-duty ball chain. I crimped the clasp to keep it secure and I hope it holds up.

I like decorating my bags with fobs, it gives me an excuse to buy more fobs!

Then I loaded her up and now I'm ready to roll, I just hope that the weather cooperates; happy memorial day!

And beautifuf, I love your charm too. Thanks for sharing, Anne

She looks perfect with her decoration. I should find a cute fob for my tan town tote too. Makes her look so much prettier. [emoji106]

Thanks! I love my fobs and they help me to put my own stamp of individuality on my bags. You have no idea how much time I devote to picking out the right fob for a bag - it's a lot of fun - but sometimes I change my mind and try something else later! Be careful, fobs are addictive!

Below is a link to an example of my pre-occupation with "the right fob for right bag". I decided to use the snorkel fob for this bag (against popular opinion) but I could still change my mind for the next trip!

Thank you Anne! I have been carrying this bag for the last few days and I love it. I have been wearing it as a shoulder bag by the handles. It is a bit of a "snug fit" on me and it wouldn't work with a heavy coat but it is just fine for these lovely summer days!

Thanks! The interior is very roomy. I was afraid that I would miss the slip pockets but the zipper pocket is wide and deep and I always use accessories to help organize the contents of my bags anyway - so that I can change bags easily.

For this bag I am using a Coach cosmetic case and 2 Kate Spade accessories that I found at the thrift store for a grand total of $2.50! A pink envelope pouch and a black zip pouch - see links below - they are very cute and handy!

Looks good! I love the touch of sky blue! I do the same thing with fobs - remove them from the rings & put them on ball chains. It makes them easier to move from bag to bag.

I bought a small supply of brass and silver colored dogleash clips on ebay and I use them to attach most of my key fobs to bags - so I can easily take them on or off. But that wasn't working with this new borough bag because the D rings were too small and the clips stuck out at a funny angle, so I had to resort to using the ball chain.

Here's a recent example of using a dogleash clip to attach my Koi fob to my black patent Kristin pleated satchel. Normally I would use a silver colored clip because of the fob's hardware but I picked gold to match the bag and because there is so much gold leather in the fob.
