Final Rolex purchase decision???

I understand that a bigger face is appealing nowadays. I'm attracted to the larger watches now too. However, the story attached to your Rolex is so lovely that I think it makes the watch very special. Why not try on some completely different styles for your alternative watch? The Cartier, as you say, or maybe a J12?

I am currently lusting after the Omega Aqua Terra 34mm. I also like the white Omega Planet Ocean. I think that the Planet Ocean is a little too big for me though.

I love Tags - great watches and great selections on the Omega Aqua Terra - love it. I have an older SS Link that will stand up to anything - amazing watch. Just get the battery changed every few years. I also have this one (pic attached) which is why I don't want the Oyster band in the Rolex.

I agree with the general consensus that the 2 Rolex watches are too similar to what you have. Add in the Tag beside them, and they all have a similar look, though the Tag has a different, sportier bracelet.

I'd take the advice to go check out other brands and look for something with a black dial. I have a black Chanel J12 in 33" that I really didn't think I'd wear all that much and, of course, I grab it more than any other watch I own. Super versatile. Or take a look at the Rolex Air King watches in the 34" and 36" size, for something a little sportier. They have some beautiful dial colors with Arabic markers or the 3:6:9 configuration. I also love the Omega Aqua Terra. I'd love to own that in a 34".

The Tag is nice and certainly has the bigger face that you like. Given that you have that, and the Rolex, I would go with the J12 in black if I wanted another watch. Have fun with your search!

Thanks everyone for your opinions - I really appreciate it. At the end of the day, I had to go with what I really loved - although perhaps the Rolex was a bit repetitive to what I already had - the mother of pearl face and larger face size made the difference for me. I also really wanted a black face watch - but didn't want to spend too much. Here's my final purchases!
