Hi all- need some help/advice from my fellow TPF experts

I stopped by the SF store during a work trip to check out the small mama baguettes (was so sad to hear that store is closing!) and they were all out of stock, but I fell in love with the lil mini Fendigraphy instead. I didn’t love any of the colors in stock but my awesome SA showed me this ombré pink color online. So with hubby’s blessing for this to be my upcoming bday gift, I ordered and it just arrived and I’m just … no longer sure on this one! I guess I’m always a little deflated when I unbox a bag and don’t have the immediate “omg *love*” feeling, but also many of my now super loved bags have grown on me more over time. I’m also in the most slovenly WFH clothes today so maybe when I try it on with some cute ‘fits?

Anyone who has the mini Fendigraphy, do you love it? Does this one look weird to anyone when clasped? (It almost seems like the leather is a little weirdly squished in the right corner?). And anyone with the mama baguette in small can you share any pics / if you love it? I was looking to fill a gap for a cute evening/small bag, but now no longer sure if this is the one!

I love my mini fendigraphy in dove gray! Majority of the time I don't clasp it and I use a Fendi crossbody/shoulder strap with it. It's a great daily bag in that sense. I think the leather would need to break in a bit due to how thick it is - in order to have a softer, more supple leather look when clasped. I think it's a very unique bag, since we can carry it multiple ways. The quality of my fendigraphy bags are very good. I have both the mini and the nano sizes. I use them for daytime and evening.

Have you tried on a mamma baguette and/or touched the leather? It's a VERY different bag and leather from the fendigraphy. The mamma baguettes are lambskin, super soft and unstructured. Much thinner leather, almost like a soft leather drawstring sack in a way. It seems more delicate. I can see it being a cute little bag for evening though.

I’ve seen the mama baguette in the medium size but haven’t seen or tried on the small - but you’re totally right on how different they are, and I do remember thinking the leather on them seemed thin… I actually showed my husband a picture of the mama baguette and he was not a fan, and he actually likes the lil Fendigraphy, so now I am leaning towards keeping it … but I impulse ordered the matcha small mama baguette this afternoon 🙈 so I can at least fully compare before committing to either one … anyways really appreciate the input and help!!

Matcha is a beautiful color! Hopefully having both bags in front of you will make the decision easier. I'd be tempted to keep both. LOL. Keep us posted on what you decide. They're both beautiful bags!

LOL I know re temptation to keep both - playing with fire here 😂 I’ll def post pics of the matcha mamma when it arrives! And I’m sure my hubby will be hovering close by to make sure one gets back in the box lol!!

Well now I’m even more confused LOL @thundercloud you were right I just want to keep both 🙈😅 I absolutely love the matcha color and do really like the silhouette of the small mama baguette but it feels too similar to my mint green peekaboo (although they are very different shades of green! 😉) and now to complicate matters even further I was sent the link to preorder from the fall collection and omg the eel version of the small mama?! Looks TDF… but also is burgundy even a good color on me, ugh idk!! These are the hard decisions we have in life right 😂

😇 Hehe. This lighter red burgundy should be quite trans-seasonal as well? It's very wearable, in all except the height of summer. I'm enamored with it. It's little but mighty! I might have to seek it out in my location 😸

Ok I know I’ve been spamming this thread but I returned both bags (Fendi e-commerce dep’t hates to see me coming rn…) and decided to try one last iteration of the Fendigraphy in the light blue and ohhh mahhh gawwwd 🤤 *thats* the feeling I was looking for, my heart leapt when I opened the box - I loooove it so much!! Oh and since yesterday was my actual birthday I definitely managed to catch hubby in a good mood and convince him that I do kiiinda need both - as in the eel skin mama baguette just has to be a future fall bag 😇 and since we’ll be gone a large chunk of Sept for travel, it wouldn’t arrive until closer to Oct sooo it’s basically like I’m waiting until last quarter for another bag right 🙃 oh AND I couldn’t help myself and tacked on this cutie lil white nano (I watched enough videos of ppl using it as a key/card holder that you can then clip to your bags and I was solddd lol) and omg I love her too. off to *permanent* ban island for the rest of 2025 I go 😳🙃
