When I think slouch and hobos I also think BV.
Out of my BVs 2 are hobos, and both positively vintage by now and I still love them. Buy in a colour you never tire of to get maximum wear and In your price range, prob the Cervo Hobo or perhaps you could stretch to a Large Veneta, both well worth the investment.
Gucci also have some cool hobos, my favourite is my Horse-bit hobo from the '00s but finding an authentic one is a nightmare. The Original Jackie is a classic (I have a Bouvier which is flatter) and is a great bag if you like med bags. It can carry lots but still not look oversized, the larger New Jackie is also fab if you like big bags but I think pushing the budget.
