In Germany:

Liebeskind Berlin ( http://www.liebeskind-berlin.com )

This was one of the brands that started my handbag obession a while ago when they were not so common yet. Now everyone has them over here and prices are increasing, which kind of made me move on. But I still have a few of their bags (which I have been wanting to add to my showcase for a while). Their designs are edgy and great, the leather is fantastic!

And: They have the most amazing shoe collection (which still like to buy) ♡♡♡

FREDsBRUDER (http://www.fredsbruder.de/) or Aunts & Uncles (http://www.auntsanduncles.de/) are other German brands. I like them as much as Liebeskind, but don't have any of their bags. Yet. :graucho:

I like FREDsBRUDER a little more, because of the exact same reason you mention. :D And - Aunts and Uncles are heavy.

As I think of it, BREE (http://bree.com/) or Picard (http://www.picard-lederwaren.de/) are from Germany, too.

And let's not forget about George Gina & Lucy ( www.george-gina-lucy.com ) which are German as well. Huge trend a few years ago (and the first bag I spend more than 100 Euro on ;-) ). But now seen much less often, and I think I also saw some on American/Canadian celebritys some time ago, so maybe a bit more internationally known...

BIG uuups from my side. I have 4 GGLs and totally forgot them to mention here. :p
Yes! My first GGL was a gift, my second one I bought myself and it was also my first bag I spend more than 100€ on. :D

Those were my first addiction in handbags and I had a ton of them, great workhorse bags! At the end of 2013 I parted with most to fund another purchase, but I still have a Clutch and one bag from the Britannia Rules collection I love tooo much ♡♡♡

Yes, they are! And they are at the same time great fun bags. I used to love them a lot, but I was a little bit overfed, when everybody had them. Now you don't see them so often anymore (at least around here) and mine are slowly starting to see daylight again. But I think I might part with two - they are too heavy for my liking.
The Britannia Rules collection was really nice!

Same here! Whereever you looked, everybody was carrying those bags. So I ended up with a closet stuffed full of bags that I did not like anymore (I must admit i really went overboard with all the different collections they had and all the limited editions), and I really wanted this other, more expensive purse, so I sold quite a lot of them.

You are right, you see them much less often now than maybe two years ago, so if I still had more of them, I would definitely start to use them again by now. I must admit that I sometimes miss the great nylon material, as all purses I purchased since then are leather purses and they of course are more delicate than the GGL. When those had stains, at least those without leather applications, I simply took of the hardware, put them in a pillowcase and then in the washing machine and everything was fine! I tend to be much more paranoid about my bags these days...
