In Monaco have them walk the F1 track. That will keep them busy for a good couple of hours! The Hermès appointment system may leave you a little crazy, you can purchase everything but small leather goods without an appointment. But you can only register for an appointment when you are in Europe and they go very very fast. When I was there, I was told they get 6000 hits with about 70 appointments available For each boutique for each day. In a stroke of luck, I went in on my last day and pled my case (7 days of trying online to get an appointment between my phone and IPad), and was asked to step aside and discreetly assigned an SA and able to purchase an Hermès Evelyne. I had previously purchased one five years before, and a few scarves and bracelets over the years, so I was in the system. Even then they only brought out two bags, a black one and an etoupe with gold hardware, those were my only choices! I never would’ve chosen the Etoupe and now so happy with it! Remember to get all your paperwork and to allow enough time at the airport to get your VAT return and your discounts will be wonderful!I am counting the days until our vacation in Nice this June. We will be staying in an apartment in Nice and taking day trips to many of the nearby towns.
What are some of your favorite Chanel boutiques? We will definitely visit the one in Nice since that is where we are staying, and our other top pick will be the seasonal pop up boutique in St. Tropez.
Then depending on everyone else’s schedule we will try to go to the boutiques in Monaco and Cannes.
And of course, we want to visit other boutiques such as Lanvin, DIOR, LV, Bulgari and Hermes.
Any and all advice on the best places to shop will be much appreciated. My group will include 4 ladies that love to shop and 3 men who do not love to shop… so I am hoping to have a game plan for the best picks before we go.![]()
Also think about maybe some lunch reservations way ahead of time! Hotel du Cap Eden (where Sofia Richie was just married) has a beautiful grill on a terrace and the train, and then the tram, will get you close. Club 55 is super fun at least once! You eat at a table but sand is under your feet! Also reserve ahead! If dinner is out of the budget, lunch is a great alternative!I am counting the days until our vacation in Nice this June. Thank you, I am actually looking at boat excursion companies to book right now. Definitely tops on our list of places to visit. I am SO excited to see St. Tropez! If you can take a boat trip to St Tropez I would go! The boutique there is very unique and had amazing stock when I was there a couple years ago
I just got a response from some helpful people that you do not need an appointment if you go to the Hermès in Monaco, so that counters, part of my comment on that topic! Nice is France, but it appears that you may not need an appointment there. Just wanted to add that!I am counting the days until our vacation in Nice this June. When I responded to your posts, I got so envious! My birthday is June 10 and somehow I convinced my husband to go to the south of France so I will be there as well! We will be in cap Ferrat June 8 through the 11th, Monaco through the 13th, St Tropez for a day, and then on to Provence! I wish you were going before me so that you could give me tips, but I have a feeling I might actually be there before you! Ya us!Thank you for the info, this is very good to know.
That is so awesome! And what a great way to celebrate your birthday! My bff and I are also Gemini’s - she is June 12th, and I am May 29, but we won’t arrive in Nice until the 16th - but we will still be celebratingWhen I responded to your posts, I got so envious! Thank you! And yes, I have beach club reservations for the first Sunday of our trip for just that reasonWell if anything stands out that you might benefit from I’ll come back and post! Don’t forget most designer boutiques are closed on Sundays.
I’m here now! Inventory is very very low at Prada and Chanel, and almost non existent at Hermes. No bags at Hermes, very limited shoes and jewelry at Chanel. Pretty disappointing. Starting to think they were either wiped out after the F1 race or they just don’t keep a lot on hand. Nice wasn’t much better. Sounds like St Tropez where we’re headed tomorrow has better selections for Prada as well. Good luck!I am counting the days until our vacation in Nice this June.
