Faux leather bag?

Here's the bag ladies, I bought it but can't pick it up until Sunday (it's a pre-sell bag at Macy's).
I got it for about $80....sale discount plus a bit of $$ left on a gift card so not a huge money purchase.

This will also give me some time to think about it and if I decide not to keep it no big deal. But this bag looks very durable and well made. Also it will be a bag that I only use occasionally, not every day so I'm less concerned about its wear from that perspective too.

Thanks for all of your viewpoints!

That looks very nice! i happen to be in a CK outlet today and poked about at the bags, they don't seem shoddy at all.

Give us some update shots of the bag when it arrives, always nice to see reasonable priced options!

Thanks, will do! I'm pretty much over spending hundreds of dollars on certain bags. I don't mind spending on a bag that I'll use 75% of the time but for some others that I just don't use that often, what's the point of spending that kind of $$$$?

There are other priorities.....at least for me! After all, it's just a handbag, right?

I NEVER go into a store like Macy's and get smitten with a bag but this one kind of bowled me over for some reason. It's so soft, I love that it reverses to black should I want to do that (and I will!) and the price was right. It's a very simple looking and sleek bag and will fill a lot of my needs. Can't wait to use it!

I like the shape and the mix of brown and gold. Classic.

After a certain age, I didn't want non-leather handbags. I had to look in my closet to see if I owned any. I have an LV pouchette, a nylon L.A.M.B., and three nylon Pradas (best nylon ever). The Pradas and LV are at least 15 years old. Maybe older. That's around the time I stopped buying non-leather

To me this is what counts most, not the label, the cost that it makes your heart sing... after all if it doesn't who cares about the others things?

Exactly! I want to feel happy when reaching for a particular bag.....it doesn't have to cost a lot but more look a certain way that makes me happy and to fulfill the need I have for it's use.
I'm hoping this bag does all of that. I've already visualized some of my purse charms on it.

Visualizing it's use is a good sign! hope it works out for you.

I say if you love the shape, colour, and the touch feels good to you then there isn't any reason not to get it! You got yourself a nice bag! I bought my first faux leather satchel last summer after almost 15 years! It had the crosshatch design, "a faux saffiano" that didn't feel any different from mainstream brands I looked at that used leather. Also the bag is white, what I was looking for and easy to keep clean (crucial because it's white). For the price I paid I have no regret. Thought I would only wear it for a season but I think I'll be using it plenty this coming summer!

O.K. ladies, here's my bag....if any of you are still around to see it!

I picked it up today and must say this is a great bag! The brown side has outside top stitching and when you reverse the bag to black it has hidden stitching making it a bit smaller. The bag comes with a large organizer pouch and nice straps for over the shoulder plus a removable longer strap for either shoulder or cross body....and the longer strap is adjustable!

I love this bag for it's versatility (the only other large tote I have is floral so not appropriate for every occasion) and for the life of me I still can't believe it's not real leather (I tried to take a close up pic for you). It even 'sounds' like real leather when you move the straps around....:smile1:

Well done, alansgail! A great bag doesn't have to be leather to be of good quality and timeless style. Congrats and Enjoy!
