Yes ive seen this before. when you are following an item and it goes on further discount there is a trigger email you receive letting you know. I have once received the email and seen the new sales price. Gone to click on the item to purchase and the item has been re-listed as 'new' at its original price rather than the sale price that was flagged in the email.
I think it is poor customer relations on behalf of FP

Yea definitely a tactic, I’ve been watching a watch and it would go all the way to 30% off then I would get notified that it’s “available” again and goes back to full price. That same watch has done that at least 3 times and still there.
And that’s not the only piece that does that. I’ve noticed that some go all the way to 30% before it goes back to “new” full price but more popular items only cycle until 10% or 20% discount before it goes back to full price again. I am guessing it’s because for some items they don’t want it to go down more than that price.

Edited to add that, as frustrating it may be, I still follow a lot of items on FP because there are certain items I can still get some great deals on.

Honestly, Fashionphile can't be trusted in my opinion... I bought a pochette metis monogram infrarouge from them and had to return it because it was cracking and peeling from every area not included in the pictures (was apparently in Excellent condition).. Also had to return an Petite malle Epi leather because the strap appeared to have been chewed by a dog or something (it was very noticeable and not disclosed)... Also, look at the screenshot of this listing... how ridiculous... this bag is in terrible condition, yet it is graded as Very good... really?! lolScreen Shot 2022-03-03 at 2.54.24 AM.png

I take their stated condition with a grain of salt now. Your example is the worst I've seen!
