So I purchased a pair of True Religion jeans..I guess I wasn't thinking since I got them for $58.00. Here is the listing:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...witem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_500wt_1156

I assumed they were fake when I felt them and I also looked up online if they were fakes and they match all the descriptions I read. I was wondering what to do? Can I file a dispute? She never claimed they were authentic ;/ I feel so stupid.

I would think you could file a SNAD. I mean it was listed as True Religion so that implies that the jeans are TR and would not think that a disclosure that these are authentic would be needed.

You bought something and should get what the listing says not a cheap imitation. You can try to contact the buyer and work out a return or go right for a claim. I know with high end brands you have to get an authenticator to state that they are fake but do not know how a claim for jeans would work.

good luck

I agree-it doesn't have to say authentic.EBay doesn't allow selling counterfeit items! You should contact the seller first and if that fails, file a case with EBay.

Agree.
Contact the seller first. And if she refuses return/full refund, you can file a claim with eBay. There is high chance that eBay is not going to ask you to obtain a written confirmation from the manufacturer. You have to describe clearly, accurately why you believe the jeans is counterfeit and demand the seller the proof of authenticity.
Good luck.

Thanks so much everyone. What should I tell her? This is my first time.

If you have not already paid:

Hello,

I recently won your auction on ****. I had the jeans authenticated and, unfortunately, they came back to be counterfeit. For this reason I do not wish to proceed with the transaction and request that it is cancelled.

Thank you,
****

Good luck and let us know how it works out! :flowers:

Thank you so much. She sent them out yesterday. I'm going to write to her right now.

OP -

i am a little confused!!:confused1:

you said you assumed that they were fake when you felt them but then in a later post you said that she just sent them out yesterday.

I'm glad someone else notices that she said both, "I assumed they were fake when I felt them" and "She sent them out yesterday"
Perhaps just a mistake? I know when dealing with these types of problems, I get myself confused, too :smile1:

I do have the jeans in my hands. They don't have the little budhas inside the interior pockets and the True Religion Tag letters are in blue and it's missing Row. It just says seat. "She sent them out yesterday" referred to Friday 4/1/2011 and I received them yesterday 4/2/2011. That's what I meant. I had no idea what I was saying either. Sorry for the confusion..in other words..I have them already. I wrote to her this morning and no response.
