Hi,

A girl needs help!

I absolutely love my little designer handbag collection, but I also have a really bad back and shoulders so I almost never end up carrying anything other than my Gucci Dionysus WOC in canvas, that I have had forever. It always gets picked due to it being fairly light weight.

I am looking for everything between small, mini or micro bags and also other WOC styles. I love a crossover strap but I am open to other variations as well! Preferably a designer purse/WOC though.

Please let me know what your favourite smaller bags are, and why (and please, add pictures if you don’t mind!) and also, I would love to know if you have spotted any other bags that looks like they would not weigh much so that I can have a look at them!

I don’t carry alot with me on a regular day (studying from home currently), as long as a IPhone 12 PRO, a cardholder (or at least a card) and a singel key fits it’s fullfilling all my everyday needs. Looking for bags that solely fits the above stated but also for bags a tad bigger for when I might need to bring some other necessities as well such as a little makeup, a pad or tampon, a small hand sanitizer or anything like that.

I have not been looking at bags for a few years now so I am totally out of the loop having no idea what is out there!

The weight of a bag is a make it or break it factor for me. Anything over 1.3 lbs is a dealbreaker because after I put my stuff in it, it feels heavy.

My very small lightweight bags:
Chanel wocs
Fendi fab bag in tan
Chloe mini marcie crossbody

My small lightweight bags:
celine nano belt bag
loewe small puzzle bag
celine tabou bag (next to acquire)

My medium lightweight bags:
Goyard St. Louis totes in pm size
longchamp totes

I have serious back issues so I'm there with you although not as careful as I should be. When I'm having "a bad spell" and need to be really careful about bag weight I go with things that have already been mentioned here:

BV Nodini (not sure if new or old weighs more as I've temporarily misplaced my old one)

Old style Balenciaga (very light, especially with regular rather than giant hardware)

Goyard St Louis (I HATE these bags which IMO have super low quality, but they are also light as a feather so as long as you are prepared to wear it looking worn out or replace after a season and I always end up buying a new one bc they're so light and bc I feel like it's a must have where I am)

I don't have one, but I think if TPM Evelyne comes in Epsom that could be an option.

I love my super light Longchamp Le Pliage Néo in small. Such an easy crossbody bag. You can't really beat nylon but I totally understand that often a leather bag is a more desirable option. I look forward to hearing more suggestions, I wouldn't mind finding a new lovely and light bag :flowers:

My Celine Nano Luggage is pretty lightweight and is a good size to transport a bit more than the absolute necessities. It is also chic and cute, so works for many different occations.
Another one I have, which is a bit smaller is the LV Felicie. I have it in Monogram, but it comes is a big variety including leather versions. This one is similar like a Woc as it has additional inserts, but you could also use it without the inserts as a bag, clutch or wallet. Very handy and also very light. I like its very simple and chic form.

The lightest bags I have are YSL loulou puffer mini and Gucci super mini marmont. The puffer bag is surprisingly lightweight while being 3-4 times bigger than the marmont.

Stick to nylon items - Longchamp, Prada nylon, MZ Wallace, and even Kipling items. Weight is a very important factor for me, too, and I carry very small bags and nylon larger ones. Also look at the hardware on bags - very small bags often have heavy hardware and heavy straps -- try to pick something with almost no hardware. Someone upthread said it, too, but my Celine nano luggage is leather and yet very light, even when full.

Prada Tessuto (nylon) bags. Prada has a lot of styles made out of their nylon fabric, many of which are very forward and are available in a variety of colors. The material wears like iron and it's impervious to the elements. Their tessuto bags are wonderful, lightweight and durable.
