Before: walk in anytime, can we help you, anything you want we have for you!

After: squirt acid/“hand sanitizer”on my delicate hands, there’s a plague we don’t have it/limited stock, and you better hurry up and buy!
This! It is such an effort to buy at the boutique- honestly, I am so sick of being treated like I shouldn’t even be in the store- that I am stalking FP for my unicorn bags- therefore paying over retail- and I really think Chanel are the ones perpetuating this...
It’s a BAG you are selling- get over yourselves...

I live on West Coast and been to Chanel boutiques in department stores, and high end department stores. Due to Covid regulations in CA, I have been offered water/cookies. I had to ask for water, the instructed to drink outside store.

Pre-covid, I was offered champagne at Chanel free standing boutique as I was shopping on my birthday. I've been offered tea, champagne and chocolates at Cartier before the pandemic.

In Las Vegas before pandemic, they like to pour the drinks to get you to buy. :amuse:

I am not a big-high-roller spender, so I doubt it will get back to the old days. My local boutiques already started tightening up the extras before Covid.

Agreed! I only had one good experience with an SA who was the sweetest out of the few times I went into the boutique to inquire about an item. So glad purseforum exists because I found him through this site. Unless you are the world renowned designer for the product theres no reason to act that way! But even so you shouldn’t be acting that way haha.

In the Netherlands before Covid and after Covid it was pretty much the same. They offered us tea/coffee and a small treat. The Sa that helped me still treated me the same pre and post Covid

I think it definitely depends on each boutique or SAs. My boutique SA offered me some drinks before pandemic each time I purchased or even I did not purchase anything but not retail stores SAs. I was not offered by same SA at the boutique after pandemic and I would feel little uncomfortable to take off my mask to drink at store anyway though I think they'd offer again when things gets normal.
