definitely Hermes, most stores won't even put you on a waitlist unless you are a "customer", my BIL has bought lots of dumb stuff so he could put my sister on the Birkin waitlist.

I definitely agree that the Hermes Birkin is the most exclusive bag out there today. It is a definite status symbol. After Hermes, I would say Chanel or Louis Vuitton. Many designers make limited edition bags, so in that sense, that also makes them exclusive. Which bag were you thinking about getting? I would definitely get something you are in love with.....something that will make you happy every day that you use it.

Bottega Veneta is pretty exclusive if either Hermes or Chanel are not your thing. They did a bag about a year ago - a frame clasp one with amazing leather roses on it and only made about 60 - that's exclusive! Even their woven leather ones are gorgeous. They don't give freebies, either clothes or bags, to celebs so that's why you don't see tons of them being hawked round by A to Z listers. If they want them they have to buy 'em like everyone else and they can be quite pricey - gorgeous though!

Hermes seems to be pretty exclusive...... or how about this new rachel zoe (for judith leiber) bag? Its brand new, expensive (so therefore, exclusive), plus I havent really seen anyone other than lindsey lohan and nicole richie carry it. I havent seen a single non- celebrity with one. Plus, its GORGEOUS~!!!
