I purchased the disco bag about three weeks ago and it is gorgeous. I got it for a very good price as well. Now I find myself looking at the Gucci Quilted Gg Marmount 20 Small Camera Bag as well. I think the leather, the strap being partial chain as well as the gold hardware make it dressier. It measures a little bigger which would definitely be useful. I hope I like it but my fear is that it will be overkill to have both and I will have to choose whether to keep it over the Soho Disco Bag or return it. Any thoughts from those who have either bag??

I have had both and here's how it all went down!
I have been in love with the Soho Disco since I discovered it about a year ago (I was late to the Disco party), and just hadn't pulled the trigger. Then the Marmont Matelasse line came out. Initially, I thought "NO!" what have they done to the style? but in a very short time they grew on me and I was lusting after the Small Camera Marmont (not the mini- too tiny for me). I kept reading the Disco was being discontinued and I was seeing a ton of them on resale... so I thought, ok that bag is done, I am going for the new line, and I love it now anyway. So I purchased the Small Marmont in Black from Gucci.com. It arrived and I loved it, but found the style didn't really suit me for every day. I agree with all who say it is a bag that transitions wonderfully from day to evening and can be dressed up or down. I carried it a couple of months, but just never loved, loved loved it for my style. In this purchase, I think I learned that my style is really much more casual. The beautiful "GG'" felt too dressy for me (I am often in scrubs for work..) I sold the Marmont, and wasn't really sure what I was going to do next. Then I remembered my initial love for the Disco. I started looking online again, and then headed to Neiman's in town to see it in person. I hadn't ever tried one on for style or seen it in person. Once I saw that beautiful leather up close, I knew it was a better fit for me. I have had the Disco a week now, and absolutely love it for me. So I found out if I really love a bag, I don't really care if it has been done to death, or is being discontinued, or is in great quantities on resale (If I don't plan to sell soon anyway), If I love it, I will love carrying it, no matter what. Now, having told you all this, I will say I loved the Marmont enough, that right now, If I could financially have both, I would. I personally do not think having one of each is overkill, I feel they are unique enough in style, to warrant both if you can. There is a you-tuber- Anamika Unlimited I think, who does an up close comparison of the Marmont and Disco to compare what each holds. For me they hold a similar amount, but the Disco has a bit more room more versatile space. Btw, I LOVED the chain/leather strap on the Marmont, the mostly leather, partial chain is perfection in my mind. Good Luck whatever you decide!
