Bean!!!

I've always wanted the bean necklace since I was in high school. I finally got it last year (when I was 25 years old) and have been wearing it everyday since then :) still love it!

Sweet clover is made for layering and would look great with your dbty! I just find beans so common... and although it's in rose gold, it just feels like the silver bean that every other girl has... VCA is also on a different level than Tiffany.. Just sayin!

I'm also planning on getting a .08 dbty in platinum, I have several white metal pendants I would like to layer it with, and I love the layered look with a tiny diamond (if there was a .05 I would probably have gotten that). If I want a bigger diamond pendant later on I will probably get it unbranded, but for now I'm attracted to the tiny one:smile1: (and I don't want to get an intermediate size that may seem too big now and too small later).

I'm a big lover of both VCA and Tiffany and of these two pieces. I think they both would make great additions to your jewelry box down the road but if I had to pick what to get first then I would go with the VCA.
I agree with a lot of what has already been pointed out:
1. the bean is much more common than the VCA. Because the VCA is less known I feel like there's a little bit of mystery and exclusivity and to me that is appealing (sorry if that sounds snobby but I don't want to look like a clone).
2. the VCA is so feminine and just so darn chic
3. I advise to spend a little more and go with the VCA vintage over the sweet. It has more presence while still being dainty. In my opinion, it's definitely worth the extra money.

Bean. The popularity of an item isn't a great endorsement, but it's not to the piece's discredit, either.

In my mind there's a binary distinction between the pieces you're deciding between. VCA has cultivated a slighter and more prestigious brand presence than Tiffany, while Elsa Peretti represents the ********ization of fine jewelry and a modern way of wearing and engaging with precious materials.

Imagine you wear the same shoes as someone else to a formal event. Would you feel like your outfit was cheapened? If so, grab the sweet. Would you compliment the other person, maybe have a laugh, and still feel confident in your style? Get the bean.
