I ended up getting the paperclip necklace I had seen at Saks (but not at Saks because another place had a better coupon) , which I tried to pair like you did -- with my diamond (much smaller than yours) solitaire. I think the chain links are about 8mm wide.

I hope you don't find this trying to be boastful or show up your beautiful combination. I just really appreciated your help and love your layering look!

I'm kind of worried about scratching, though. Are you?

The chain isn't as big as it looks in the photo, it's more medium sized, but it was one I'd wanted in that size for so long that when I saw it and had a coupon, I went for it!

Anyway, here she is! Thank you for the inspiration!

But I also decided that I’m going to try to wear my jewelry and not worry about scratching (within reason), so I may not be the best person to consult about this. I love your bezel setting solitaire with that chain- the chain is so nice and substantial, and the solitaire is simple perfection. It looks amazing, and I think it's going to look so good with spring and summer clothes. Congrats!

Oh thank you, that is so kind of you to say. I didn't like the 'hand feel' of the chain (so lightweight!) at first but I LOVE it on. So comfortable!
