The late 10's releases that featured the Indigo and the Noir were matte, which was a soft version, only slightly treated. In hindsight I don't even see why they didn't rebrand it as 'soft Épi'. They used it mostly for Men's SLGs (I guess most of the Men's Épi is still made of that), but the Neverfull was an exception from the Women's line that featured this. I totally see why it is a more delicate material. The new heritage Neverfulls are the classic Épi again, which is much more stiff, has a heavier treatment and the ridges of Épi shine when the light hits them at angle. The soft matte version was more dull, which is also a very nice and sophisticated look, but it has a lot to do with the bag being less durable on the long run.
